  1. It's not going to be everyone's ultimate solution but if you have a lappy get using "Serious Magic's DV Rack" for calibration, framing, focus, DV capture and pretty much every other thing relating to the camera on a shoot. This program includes wave form monitors and the works, it's everything you need in one little lappy... If Barry Green recommends it, I'd say you have a winner!
  2. The only way to go is with the Letus Extreme. It beats all other adapters in its range and even out does the P&S Technik with only a half stop of light loss even with the built in flip. The Nikon attachment makes for prime image production and gives the most beautyful bokeh and stunningly sharp images without vignetting. The Extreme truly is an adapter in it's own league. Damn, makes me wanna buy another one after writing that!!!
  3. To quote Jerome Keller with his message above, yes I agree you need a good study and professional looking mattebox system like the Cavision or if you got the bucks a Chrosziel but the whole "HUGE" mattebox idea with a compact prosumer camcorder actually makes the whole rig just look that much more stupid.. Really, if you going to invest in a system with more intent to impress people than actually use it for it's original purpose, make it look overall, reasonable. There's big, and then there's too f***kin big!!
  4. The best adapter on the market that is actually affordable is the new Brevis Extreme. No upside down image, only have a stop of light loss, sturdy and practical design, beautiful bokeh with Nikon lenses, various removable lens mounts and very sharp image without vignetting.. what more can you ask for in a $1200 adapter!!
  5. Give your actor a nice hit of chuck norris and no acting will be required! perfect shot :)
  6. When using a 35mm adapter it makes no difference whether you shoot 25P or 50i. I recommend 50i as you will get slightly more light capture and it also allows for the option of doing "slow mo" in post
  7. Letus Extreme 35mm Adapter is the bomb. best adapter on the market comparable to the P&S Technik
