Neither Chrosziel, 16x9 or ZGC were able to help, but after a lot of Googling, I found Carl Schlesinger at TCS in NYC, and he knew exactly what I have (pre 1990 matte box) and he had a 102-85mm step down ring, as well as an eyebrow (the eyebrow's sold today are a few mm smaller, and the tabs don't fit on the mounting screws).
My plan is to pick up a "Universal rod system," which some guy on eBay sells from his shop in India. Then, it's going to be files, drills and cursing to put the whole thing together. That screw under the front of the matte box is going to end up being the attachment point. If it doesn't work, I'll ebay the pieces and just go out and purchase a proper matte box, like I should have done in the first place.
