  1. Hi, I would suggest you start working on film till you get the 'hang' of the process of film making. As the costs are higher in comparision to video you will be 'forced' to plan your shots properly. You will learn to 'see & hear" your film before you even start rolling the camera. Will also help you in understanding the importance of being articulate in the way you explain the film / scene to your actors, cinematographer, art director and a whole lot of people you will be working with. After you get the hang of things and get comfortable, I guess you can experiment with video as it offers a different set of possibilities. just my 2 bit... :D Ashok
