  4. If the head is in good condition, it's a good deal Don't forget to put images and also advertise on reduser maybe
  5. I consider Tim an honorary Arri tech :P The technician at panavision is also quiet an Arri expert, but you're right I could have asked Arri directly, I guess I like things more complicated I'm convinced now that I won't be going that road but thanks for you input Tom
  6. Tim, Thanks for once again bringing your knowledge to the table Yes I got lucky enough to come across a motor ;) I don't feel adventurous enough to take a chance with it, plus 35-3 mag aren't cheap Thanks everyone for your help, it is much appreciated Yoji
  7. Thanks Mike I received an answer from a Panavision technician who says it should be OK if I stay at 24fps
  8. John & Tom, Thanks for the answer So if I listen to John, the IIC motor should be able to handle the load since there was a time... The reason why I would consider it was that it would be nice to be able to use 1000' load, no other particular reason, but like Tim says, the resistance could be too great and the motor could cook And I probably care too much about the motor to take the risk Thanks for the answer, hope to bump into someone who did try it
  9. Hi there, usually I ask directly Tim Carroll since he has all the answer but I start to feel bad writing him every time I hope to find the answer by someone else this time My question is, can I use a 1000' mag from Arriflex 35-3 on a Arri IIC? Or will the load by too much for the IIC motor? I have a Thoma Crystal motor II if this make a difference Thanks for your time and consideration Best Yoji
  10. Thanks Tim, I spoke to Jim also but his price is too high for me
  11. Looking for a Thoma Crystal Motor II for my Arri IIC I don't need the flat base because I want it for the hand held option Would also consider the CP crystal motor but would rather the Thoma Thanks
  12. Allow me to answer 35mm only has one type of perforation, these are the same perforation that goes for any type of cine film and still photography So I guess one could call it 4perf or 3perf or 2perf or 8perf Hope this helps
