  1. Hello, Yes indeed, that was the problem...I've cemented a piece of aluminium (black) to the shutter myself to reduce it's opening angle and the flicker has disappeared! The ACL is so cool to work with...the mechanism is so simple and logic! Best regards everybody, Benjamin.
  2. hello, Too much trouble in comparison with using my already usable Leitz 6/66. I just have to remove the Leicinamatic now, another problem... Thanks all for your interest.
  3. The flicker take place on the right side of the image were the gate was trimmed to super16mm...It is also the place were the mirror is covering the film a litlle while running. Someone synced it a little beter so the flicker is less present but it is still there! Does someone know if the mirror has to be trimmed a little for super16 conversion or not? Can the camera be synced with the original 16mm mirror? How can we achieve that? We were not able to do it. Thank you, Benjamin.
  4. Hello, I've shooted outside with 50D at 25fps...no HMI or other lights were used, only available light. The motor is the heavy duty motor. I have flicker in the highlights...The mirror covers the gate for about a half...1 image of 2...it is not sync. I think that could be the problem. Regards, Benjamin.
  5. Hello! I'm having flicker problems in image with my super16 ACL2...I've noticed that the mirror is not completely sync with the shutter...Could that be the problem? Thank you very much! Benjamin.
  6. Hello, Will every Kern c-mount lens cover super16? I know the 10mm does and I'm thinking about purchasing a 16mm and 25mm. Thank you for your help! Benjamin.
  7. Is it normal that my Fujica is very noizy at 24 fps? (Impossible to record dialogue) Is it possible to lube the camera? How can I do that? Does a repair manual in English or French exist? I can't find anything on the web... Thanks!
  8. OK I tested the Beaulieu on my Fujica and it is indeed not calibrated to "normal" c-mount... So I'll be using the Leitz 6/66...The only problem is the Leicinamatic (servo-motor) who is just in front of the ON button of the Fuji...The use of a cable release is impossible because of that. :( I've read that removing the Leicinamatic is very tricky and not a good idea. Cheers
  9. Thanks all for your answers and reactions! I'll post my experiences with the lens and cam here for those who are interested...I should have it in a couple of days now. Maybe I'll even let a technician check the Leitz's for perfect use with the Fuji since I'm not using the Leicina that much anymore. (I had multiple problems with steadyness and cassettes on set!? ) ALSO the Leica-m to C-mount convertor that I'm using on the Fuji is from Beaulieu! So I guess the convertor was made for using M-lenses on a Beaulieu= not really C-mount. (Alltough I've never noticed sharpness problems with this config...) Am I wright? Greets, Benjamin.
  10. Thanks Andy, I frequently use my Leitz Optivaron and Cinegon on the Fujica without sharpness problems...I hope it will be the same with the Beaulieu lens! Regards, Benjamin.
  11. Thanks Joe, Will the Reglomatic reveal a gap in the lens like with removing the Leicinamatic from the Leitz Optivaron? Cheers! Benjamin.
  12. Hello, Does anyone have experience with processing ORWO negative 100asa & 400asa at home? Can I use Kodak D76 or Ilford ID11 to replace D96 wich I can't buy in Europe? What about the fixing bath? Thanks! Benjamin.
  13. Hello everybody, I've just purchased a Beaulieu Schneider K. "Optivaron" 6/66 to use on my Fujica ZC1000. Is it possible to remove the "Reglomatic"(servo-motor) from the lens? I don't need it and also want to do it for aesthetic reasons! I didn't received the lens yet so I'm not familiar with it's construction. Thanks! Benjamin.
