  1. Thank you for all the advice. Very helpful.
  2. Hello, I am currently shooting an advert at university. The advert is a parody of a news report and therefore the director wants the advert to look as digital as possible. We have to shoot on Kodak film as it is one of the guidelines of the competition we are entering. There is lots of information online about how to make digital look like film but I was wondering whether anyone could inform me of ways to do the opposite. I plan to use 50D or 250D in attempt to get a less grainy look. We are shooting 90% of the advert on exterior locations in the daytime. Hope you can help. Thanks Cenay
  3. Hi, I am currently writing a short piece on the role of a gaffer and despite wanting to get a interview with a professional gaffer I haven't had the time. Therefore I was wondering if any gaffers could tell me a bit about what, in general, their job entails. For example the most common difficulties they come across on set/location as a gaffer, how their career as a gaffer begun, there work flow with the DoP and qualifications they have etc. This project has to be in tomorrow, short notice I know, but hope someone can help. Thanks Jen
  4. Thanks for all the help it is much appreciated . I have chosen to shoot on Fuji 250t, I would have gone for a daylight stock but also have a few night interiors that will be lit with tungsten's so thought I'd stick with tungsten stock and color correct the daylight scenes instead. I have also ordered the book by Malkiewicz, thanks for the recommendation.
  5. Also I was wondering whether it is possible to chage the colour of the image sucessfully in post and whether this is a safer option. Thanks Cenay
  6. Hello, I was wondering if anybody could help me. I have attached two photos of a kitchen and office I am shooting in. I would like th office to have a green tint to it and was wondering what the best way acheive this with floresnt lighting and natural sunlight coming from the windows would be. Also in the kitchen I would like to create a blue tint using the sunlight and a HMI outside the window. Hope this makes sense. It's a small student budget and I have acess to redheads, Kino's fresnals and a 2.5 HMI. I will most likely be shooting on fuji 500t. Thanks Cenay
