  1. hello to everyone who r reading this lines... in a book i came across something like base fog density while reading about push processing...what exactly is base fog density... :huh: cheers :P

  3. hi to everyone who r reading this lines... this may be a question for the pros but i was wondering whether one has to really go and study in an institute to become a cinematographer or is it ok to read the books which are written for cinematography...do the cinematographers take assistants based on ones formal training or their knowledge in the subject... answers from the professionals will be greatly appreciated... thanks... cheers... :lol:
  4. hi to everyone who r reading this lines... i have a little bit of confusion with super 35 and cinemascope...in wikipedia it is given that super 35 mm uses the space which is normally reserved for analog soundtrack...but my teacher told me that the choice of lenses of super 35 mm is more because of spherical type lenses so only they are using this format... can anyone out there help me...??? :unsure: thank you... :rolleyes:
  5. hi to everyone who r reading this words... i always have this doubt...why there are two distinct types of films as tungsten and daylight balanced...in many cases they are using tungsten for indoors and daylight for outdoors... why do we need this distinction...can't we just use daylight films indoors and use hmi lights... i may be wrong with my question...please let me know... and one more thing...i saw david mullens work in his website...they are awesome...u have to check it out... cheers... ;)

  10. i am an real amateur to cinematography...so please bear with me rolleyes.gif for what purpose they are using the blue and green matte and why there are only these 2 colours available...if it is because of primary colour why they are not using a red matte??? cheers laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
