Haha, alright, time to research!
-
Thanks Dan, in fact I found it from that site at first but right now I have two wedges but don't know how to assemble them because I need to find a viable math formula to correctly place each prism in the right place to get the ratio magnification I want. I want to make my prism squeeze from 16:9 to 2.40:1.
-
I saw there is an alternative to building an anamorphic lenses for projection purposes and I suspect I could use it to film it right in front of my DSLR. But the problem is I want to know if there is any formulas to ensure us that I am getting the image squeeze that I prefer.

why there is still no super 8 developing tank
Gordon C replied to Gordon C's topic in Film Stocks & Processing
From show of hands who would buy my product if i were to mass produce my own design of a super 8 tank? -
I see we have a market in super 8 development by looking at this forum there is plenty of people who shoots super 8. Why there is still no companies makes this tank and sell it for a much lower price?

is there a chance fujifilm will offer cheap super 8 development or maybe they will setup their own super 8 film?

Last time i went to Pac Lab, most of the people working there looks somber. I tried to joke around with them but they persist in throwing back taunting responses without any smile. Anyone know what's the next option to develop super 8 within NYC? -

wide adapter for my sankor 16c lens?
Gordon C replied to Gordon C's topic in Lenses & Lens Accessories
> do you mean if the subject is 15 feet i have to focus the camera lens and the anamorphic lens 15 feet? Is there an easier alternative? -
I have a sankor 16c and a sankyo LXL 250. I nearly have to zoom all the way to get a perfect crop from the anamoprhic lens without vignetting. However, the lens needs to be approximately ten feet away to get a head shot. Is there a wide angle adapter for these kind of lens? and How do I focus an anamorphic lens? Or do I just focus the camera lens or both?

It was super 8 plux x "process d-94a"

I was very dissappointment when I got back my film unprocessed from Kodak. CVS helped me sent out the film.
-
It is not like I don't want to focus harder, but the line is not demonstration if the subject is in focus or not.
-
I own a Sankyo LXL 250 super 8 camera. I wear glasses, and i have no idea how to adjust the focus. It is harder than focusing with a 35mm. why? I followed the manual but it is hard to distinguish if the image is in focus or not. Anywhere I turn the focus knob the screen is not really differientiating the image's focus distance.

focus problem

You need a focusing screen that is made for 35mm camera. try to get the ones without markings and put it between the 35mm lens and the camcorder lens. There is actually videos in Youtube where they show you how they made their 35mm extension lens. -
Film sensitivity (1) ASA 40, 160 (Type A film), (2) ASA 25, 100 (Daylight film) (3) Film sensitivity is automatically set by cartridge Filter (1) Built-in Kodak Type 85 filter. (2) Built-in filter can be brought out of place through the movie light spocket for improved exposure sensitivity. (3) Dia. of external filter:55mm. Kodachrome is out of production and it is harder to get each day. I want to use Ecktachrome!

Who do CVS send the Super 8 film to, because they send out slide order also.
-
Hi, I just got a Sankyo LXL 250 super 8 camera. Can I use Ektachrome 64t, the vision 2; 200t, and the Vision 2; 500t speed film with it? In the manual it mentioned that the camera has a built in filter A.

thank you so much Matt -
Hey Leo, thanks for the info. If my camcorder only accept 30mm threads will there be cut off?
-
Is it possible to fit a 2x kowa or Eiki C lens onto any of the modern consumer camcorders? What happens if the threads is too large for the thread of the camcorder itself?
