  1. Anyone on this board ever done this program? Just wanting opinions about it firsthand.
  2. What do you mean Frontline? You mean the PBS show? I'm not sure how interested they would be for a short film. I wish I was in Canada! :P
  3. Interesting about the power use increasing...I'm glad I read that before I purchased it for my MBP. How useful/restrictive is Lion on an editing station? I use an iMac with FCP.
  4. Hey everyone, I've read a bit on this forum about funding films in part with grants. I am just wrapping on a short film project now, but my next project is a narrative short film that involves PTST and returning veterans. I think that, if the grant is written right, it would attract some sort of grant money. My question is this: where do I find grant opportunities? Is there a website that lists grants for film? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
  5. Awesome! Thank you guys for the responses. I think I'm in a little better of a boat now than just staring at my mattebox not know what to do.
  6. Are you just strapped for cash and that's why you don't want to get a light meter? For all the money you're going to spend on developing and digitizing the film, I think a light meter would be a good investment. If you don't think you're going to be using it very much, then renting one would be a good decision.
  7. Hey everyone, I have a T2i and I have a Chrosziel matte box that I used to use with my XL2. I was looking into trying to get it to be compatible with my T2i but I'm not really sure what steps I should take. Any suggestions? I know I probably need to get a new baseplate and also a step-down adaptor ring that would fit my Canon lenses and the mattebox. I'm just a little lost on what I should do to get started. Any suggestions would be really helpful. Here's a picture, if that helps at all. Thanks everyone! http://imgur.com/JQ357
  8. Could you give me the link to what kind of firewire cable you bought? I've been having this same problem and I have a feeling it's the firewire cable.
  9. Received everything in just the condition advertised. Excellent camera package and Joseph was very helpful throughout the entire process! Thanks!
  10. Thanks for the response! I would be interested in seeing a picture of the case as well. In the next day or two, I am going to be going around to my parents/friends/anyone with money to try and scrounge together some loans from them, but I am very interested in the package. I will contact you via PM in the next couple days, if that's OK with you?
  11. I'm trying to pull together some money for this package now. I do have a few questions: 1.) How many hours is on this camera? I know you've maintained it well. 2.) Why are you selling? I'm hoping to try and pull together enough money for it though...looks like a great package.
  12. I was just wondering if anyone else here had an experience with making your production company an LLC. What are the benefits? Are there taxes? I don't know a whole lot, but I would like to hear any input that anyone can provide. Thanks!
  13. I was also looking into RIT as a possibility for film school. Thank you for your input! I heard you get discounts for film since Kodak is right there.
