  1. I understand that! :P I used avid a long time ago, it's very good to IN/OUT cutting (trim), i use it in Broadcast News, for that is ultra fast and good... but for long projects, things that i want totally control i prefer FCP over it! Sorry sometimes about my English! I'm Portuguese... and it's my first time here ;) Best Regards, Jorge De Silva
  2. I recommend editing in HD, export HD too, and next import the file in fcp and export in SD! Or just use apple Compressor after exporting the SD! =) Best Regards, Jorge De Silva
  3. It depends of what you wanna do in AFX, if is specific things in footage scenes, better to use the adobe bridge function (no need to export) you can add effects in AFX, and come back to premiere, and the footage itselfs updates... just render and you are ready to go! If you want a general effect in all footage, just export as hi quality you can... um compressed is good, but i only use it if i need to work several times in same clip... depend in what codec you are using etc... Best Regards, Jorge De Silva
  4. Well you better stay with FCP! better Workflow, and for me, better than all... even AVID. Maybe you create a new project with your 720P 60FPS footage, and export as the settings that you need to the main editing.. . works well too ;) Best Regards, Jorge De Silva
  5. Convert the HD images to SD with "Grass Valley (ex canopus) Procoder 3", it's an amazing software for transcodings (in windows territory), i use that in broadcast TV ;) Best Regards, Jorge De Silva
  6. The New "INTEL" iMACS are real fast, i own now a 24" and edit 1080P HDV, AVCHD, even 2k/4k (red One Samples)... just using Apple ProRes Codec. Best Regards, JDS
