  1. I recently saw One Point O. I looked up the technical specifications for it and they are as follows: as you can tell it doesn't list film stock, which was my question. Camera Arriflex 535 Laboratory Kodak Cinelabs, Romania Technicolor Film negative format (mm/video inches) 35 mm Cinematographic process Spherical Printed film format 35 mm Aspect ratio 1.85 : 1 ----- The trailer to the film really doesn't do what I saw justice. Nevertheless I hope that helps unless you feel like going out to get the DVD somewhere (or Instant Netflix for that matter) I thought when watching the film, it looked like some sort of Fugi stock. Thanks. I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, it looked like the right one.
  2. What I ended up doing was taking two out of the three light bulbs out of the light fixture. Then taping the cover, so it would only really concentrate on the table.
  3. I just wanted to see how many have you have used the inverse square law when judging light distances between subjects?
  4. just so I can clarify by ring of light I mean a light that covers the entire table, while the actors will be lit separately I'll see if my school has wall spreaders or polecats.
  5. I'm shooting a 5-10 minute student short film next weekend and I wanted to ask some lighting questions. The film will be lit resembling a play like atmosphere. I wanted a ring of light around a dining table. I thought the best way to do this was to extend the C-Stand arm far enough out so the light would beam down creating this effect. I was told by some people that it would be too much weight and the light/c-stand would be in visible in the wide-shots, which now I can see how it would be! An alternative that people suggested was to secure a light-weight mirror on the ceiling, aim the light at the mirror. Then would beams down on the table, giving the effect that I want. Any suggestions?
