  1. Bored with her marriage, a young wife and mother believes she has found away to reignite passion and romance in her life. Doubts begin to cloud her dream, but desperation drives her to follow the illusion in her heart until she is confronted by love. This was a class project for Academy Of Art film school. I composed the music for the film with a Korg Triton Extreme, shot with the HV30 & Letus mini and Canon 50mm FD lens, audio was recorded with the ZooM H2 and finished in SoundTrack Pro, edited with FCP5 on iMAC core 2Duo. No color correction, lighting was done with 3 florescent 150 watt work lights. Hope you like it
  2. Hi, I have been to B&H, sweet water, mac mall, and their systems are all set up "about the same" for around $3299.00. I am starting film school in June and I want to get a Mac Pro because I believe they have a longer life span than their counterparts for editing. I will be shooting SD and HDV. I currently use an HV30. What I think I need: 320gb stock drive, 1TB drive, 1 super drive, 8GB ram, 22in Monitor (I have heard that the Dell IPS 2209WA is the way to go since Apple decided to gloss up everything) nVIDEA gforce 512mb of cache. I have FCP5, will that work with Leopard? Should I go with an academic version of FCS? I have heard you can upgrade the ADVs of FCP, yes? My budget for the system is about $3500.00 give or take $200.00 Any insight is well appreciated! Thanks, Steve
  3. Hi, New here. I'm getting very close to making a decision on a mac pro. Wondering If I should go 8 or 4 core? I'll be editing HD video for documentary's and indie features. Looks like B&H have the best deals I have about $4000.00 bucks to spend on Monitor and system. Looking at the Dell 22 monitor. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Steven Adams
  4. I like the wide gate mod Pro8mm offers on their C814. I was wondering if any one here has bought a camera from them? I'm seeing a lot of bad press on their film stocks I'm hoping the same isn't true with their cams. Steve A
  5. I have read a lot of bad press on Pro8mm here. I was wondering if any one here got a camera from them? thanks, Steve A
  6. I read "the place to buy thread, lots of great info! I was wondering if any one had any opinion on the canon 1014 xls / 814, 814 xls. Thanks!
  7. Hi Matt, Did they give you a refund for the rolls?
  8. Just wondering if any one here ever did business with Pro8 or know of someone whoe did. I'm considering getting one of there 8mm cams and would like to have some feed back if any on the comany. Thanks, Steve A
  9. Love your 8mm stills! I'm starting Academy of art U in San Francisco in June. S8mm part of my program. Thanks for sharing!!!
  10. HI Jed, THe HV30 is a GREAT cam. I got one a couple of months ago love it! It's a great intro to HD. The prices on it are around $630.00 at B&H. With a budget like that you should be able to get some good accessories. Good luck
  11. Hi, I'm new here. My wife and I were walking in an alley near our home and found a box with some lenses in it. So Took them home. In the box were. 3 TV lenses not in very good shape but two very very clean Anamorphic lenses. EIKI 16F No. 91779 KOWA PROMINAR 16-H No. 64187 I'm wondering what kind of step down rings I would need to use these on my canon HV30. HV30 is 43mm EIKI 16F just matches the circumference of the UV on the cam and is a female (threads inside). Anyone know what rings I would be looking at to use this? The KOWA 16-H is larger and looks more like 35mm. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve A
