  1. I'm going to use a stills camera and 35mm black and white film to create a moving image work of about 3 to 5 minutes long from the individual photographs. Can you give me any tips on this process? I plan to work with my editor who will use FCP or Avid. Many thanks for your time.
  2. Please can you tell me the name of the right person to contact at Arri in London who runs the camera trainee scheme. I want to apply for an apprenticeship type paid position and train to work in the camera department. Many thanks in advance for your help. Carmen
  3. I would suggest you look into Ravensbourne and Farnham Institute http://www.ucreative.ac.uk/article/30684/Course-Search-Results?terms=Farnham&Campus=Farnham&srchTerm= I haven't studied at either but both have been recommended to check out. Good Luck and your year's experience in 35mm will put you in a very strong position so don't under estimate your lack of formal qualifications.
  4. I've just bought a Braun Nizo S 56 Super 8mm camera as a gift for my brother who is a beginner. I would like to send him some film cartridges and would really appreciate your advice as to what film stock to buy for him so that he will be able to have it processed in Scotland or England. Many thanks, much appreciate your time and expertise.
  5. If you're still looking, I think you can rent one from Four Corners...http://www.fourcornersfilm.co.uk/
  6. much preferred the first version of the film although I have yet to watch either with sound...the first one is more sinister and atmospheric....look forward to hearing the dialogue..liked your idea for the series of shorts
  7. yes, would be interested, stills photographer just bought first bolex b8sl....so it would depend on the planned discussions and projects but yes would like to meet others working with film
  8. I liked the opening shot and think it could have been more effective without the film title preceeding it. I liked the shot of the girl through the round window and then the man following her. I think it could have been much more effective and funnier with better actors, good luck
  9. I've just acquired a Bolex B8SL...do you have any experience of using one and if so, please can you give me some tips on how best to get started...I'm waiting for the manual to arrive and I don't know how to use it yet....thanks for any help...
