  1. Hey a small query..so i was planning to apply a black stocking behind my lenses. The rental company wouldn't allow me to glue them or tape them, hence the method i applied was put a rubbed band behind my master primes..i was pretty happy with the result. However a small query...has anyone tried this before? i mean applying them with a rubber band? i am little concerned about the heat generated...will it affect the rubber band and make it slip? just wondering how safe is this method?? cheers
  2. Hi...please see this music video...this was shot on Super 16 SR2. Please let me know what you think...
  3. Hi. I am shooting a music video in S16. After the video is has been shot there is no optical blow up just a telecine transfer. I will probably be using the Fuji Eterna VIVID 500. Also my usual practice is to to over expose say rate the film at 320 and then print it down. However this time i am not going for a print. So i was wondering if i should indeed carry on the same procedure in the tele cine to get richer blacks as i am guessing the same logic of getting a denser negative does apply here to. However there is no print so does it make a difference in the telecine process. Please let me know asap as the shoot date is fast approaching. Thank you. Regards - Karm
  4. Hi all, i am an amateur cinematographer from India. There is a project i am shooting and would like some help i am shooting a scene which involves a corridore. What i want to do is have sun light coming in from the sides. However i want the sun rays. As in i want the sun light flodding in through these small windows however i would like the rays to be distinguished. One of the typical method is to light up with smoke. However that is not possible as i cant have any smoke in that scene. I studied another method by the Great Sacha Virne, he used a white stripe reflected in the mirror using a white stripe which created a ray. however that had some magical feelign to it which i want to avoid. Also i need two rays, so that's not possible. I will probably be lighting up the scene to 5.6. So i am wondering is it possible to get the rays without any smoke. What should the exposure be . Also the lights we get are not much. So most i can do is use a senior 4k, or an HMI 10k. Please let me know what would be the best way to get this effect. Thank you karm
