  1. Herb hooked it up...thanks! I'll post some pics in a bit.
  2. Hey, I bought my Som Berthiot 70 without the viewfinder, and I had to dig alittle bit There is a ebay seller called Sales Barron, who (for better or worse) sells his Som Berthiots and their viewfinders individually. Check them out. They had it listed at $100, but I called them and they ended up selling it to me for like $30. Good luck!
  3. Again, I just purchased a Lindahl Shade which was intended for a still camera, however, It can adapt to any size lens and even works on my giant Pan Cinor 70 with has a OD of 70mm+ Also they are cheap. I bought mine for $10 plus shipping on ebay. They also sell tiffen adapters for the filter slot. It has bellows and is light weight...great for lens mounted matte boxes...this was the one I purchased and I couldnt be happier with it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=290280453789
  4. Yeah I've been on the lookout for an Iris Vingetter for the last year. and they seem to be more than ellusive. Herb, thanks for the email.
  5. Herb I sent you a message. ...awesome! It seems that one I was watching disappeared from ebay.
  6. If its a reflex camera you should get what you see through the viewer. So long as the lens is adjusted to the bolex...
  7. Yeah saw that guy...watching it. I really would love the base that Herb mentioned. The adapter that can adapt the matte box, although my real need is to stabilize my Bolex on the tripod. With my lens and various other attachments, it is worrying me to have t teetering on that little round base. I'll buy that one if it stays cheap. Other wise I might just ask a friend in a machine shop to whip me up something similar.
  8. Yeah I thought the same thing. I think on some of the models, you cant even close the door unless you release the loop formers. It think one of mine allows it to shut and one doesnt.
  9. Look around for cheap lens mounted filter/matte boxes. I know that Lindahls are light and fairly inexpensive.
  10. I've been diggin around and keeping my eyes peeled on ebay, but maybe someone on here can sell me their extra or unused BOLEX FLAT BASE ADAPTER....thanks.
  11. My question was answered in the Bolex Forum...this lens takes series 8 drop in filters. Thanks.
  12. poop, they are threadless? I;m going to do some research on them. Thanks a ton!!
  13. If you can float a little extra dough, you can buy a sync Super 8 from www.pro8mm.com here in LA. They are Beuleau's ...but they adapt the gate and have sync sound. They are a little pricey but reliable buys.
