  1. LMK what y'all think. https://youtu.be/62eIUot7THo?si=ciYLrTCQ3FP6Sgyx
  2. You wouldn't really notice the shadow if the light you were using was more diffused or a "softer" source. The shadows could basically disappear if the light were soft enough.
  3. The Dana Dolly is the best. I can move it around by myself but it's still super sturdy. The Norms stands are kinda garbage. Definitely get the newer Matthews or American stands that are made specifically for sliders. They're perfect.
  4. A skateboard helmet is a good option. We did it with some hole drilling, bolts and a couple cheese plates. We also had a Paralinx wireless video transmitter on there and a mophie type of replaceable battery on there to power the battery pack. The most important thing was to have a back weight on the opposite end of the helmet of the camera. No matter how well you secure the chin strap the camera will still want to fall if you don't have some counter balance. It's also important to get some beanies that you can wear so that you can really get a snug fit. I would always have at least 2 on so that the helmet fit nice and tight. We used the rig for a series of commercials. We used them for 3 days straight.
  5. We shot this Law and Order / CSI take off on our RED One and I wanted some feedback on what anyone thinks. we tried to match the color palette of some of those shows and the handheld camera style. hopefully it's really funny too since that's why we really made it. the URL is http://www.redonefilms.com/videos/id_21/ti...d-one-short-fi/ thanks for looking:)
  6. I have shot a lot of footage and to summarize I always try to shoot at 320 or 250 and if there is a tungsten balance to the scene then I am more careful to shoot it at that ASA. When I am shooting daylight balanced footage I am confident in pushing it to 500 or 640 knowing that I will get some noise but that I can eliminate almost all of it with the appropriate settings in the red programs and by crushing the blacks as has been mentioned previously. 7. I think I can tell which shots are which but it is also usually easier to make a CU look sharper than a wide shot. Very nice work though. The roll off and Latitude are noticeable on some of it. Red One Camera Rental
