For Sale are a set of 4X4 Diffusion Filters A B C D manufactured by Bausch & Lomb. There are no chips on any of them. They are very similar to Pancro's Mitchell early editions. Glass is white with no color cast. I have tried to find out when these were manufactured and there is no info available. They may have been made for Mitchell before Pancro took over in the 50's. They are very old, in excellent condition and comparable to what we use today. I wish they were 4X5.6 so I could use them. $500 for the set. Bill Coss w.coss@mindspring.com

Which HMI AC/DC powered? Joker 200W?

You can put a ceramic globe in the 200 Dedo and it becomes a tungsten fixture. That's a plus. You should really demo one, I'm sure that will make up your mind. Bill -

Barger 120V vs. 240v?

What country do you live in Ron? -
The Preston operates in the 2.4 Ghz band and therefore a Bartec antenna should never be used because it runs at 900 Mhz. Just because an antenna will physically fit the connector does not mean that it is matched and will reduce the efficiency of the transmitter and may even damage it. This is especially true with video transmitters. I think you should call Howard, they have the low profile version also.

Using a linear pola on certain film cameras will conflict with the video tap optics. I always took it as a "grain of salt", almost an "urban myth" of sorts. Arricam ST, just filling in for the day. Couldn't believe this assistant's filter was even on the truck. Bill

HMIs: What features to look for when buying
William Coss replied to Isabelle Landers's topic in Lighting for Film & Video
Isabelle, One thing that you should also consider is the quality of the light that is put out by the fixture. How even is the field, edge to edge? What is the fall off like on the edges? What is the focusing range from spot to flood? Can it be dimmed and be used with regular house power or automatic voltage input selection for international use? My choice: Dedolight DLH400D Sweet, Bill -

Chimera's Standard lantern, the 20" or 30", will work. Part numbers 1880 and 1885. http://www.chimeralighting.com/products/do...ntern_Parts.pdf Bill -
I would go with the 17-80 instead of the 15-40 and get a 14mm prime for the rearly used wide angle shots. Unless you plan a lot of really wide shots, that is. It will keep you off the big gun more often.

Not really that uneconomical for this camera or this manufacturer, it just doesn't have one. -
f23/35 accessory power connectors
William Coss replied to John Waterman's topic in Camera Assistant / DIT & Gear
As in the Genesis, they use batteries that supply both 12 and 24 volts to the body. They do this for their accessories, which are all 24v, ie. zoom motors. So, if a F35 is not supplied with both voltages, 12 for the body and 24 for the acc, then the 3 pin Fischer is not powered at all. There is not a step up transformer in the body. Your 11 pin will be fine to power your Cine Tape. You can always use the extra 3 pin connector you ordered for the CT side of the cable. Bill -

You won't get 24v out unless it is supplied from the battery. As the CineTape inputs are either, the 3 pin will not supply 12v. -

Sounds like a Pancro dichroic ND filter to me. They have made them for decades and it just may not be an IR "hot mirror". Due to the fact that these are relatively new on the market, it should say so on it, if in fact it is. Pancro's website explains it all, i.e., front surface. Bill
