  2. Hi, I am using a a HVX 200 with a letus elite and a nikon mount. I am looking to experiment with different filters. I am just wondering if there is a website where i can look at the different filters that there are and the different usages that each filter can offer. Any help would be appreciate it. Thank you.
  3. What i usually used is the back of a pick up truck, they work really good. It all depends what the project calls for.
  4. I am shooting a Car scene in a couple of months and i have started pre- production on the project. Most of the movie takes place in a car going up north in a highway. The director wants this scene to take this place during night time. I have seen what the poor man process is to shot a car scene and making it look like the car is moving and there is headlights in the rear view mirror etc etc. I have no idea how to achieve what the director is asking for this scene. Can anybody help me. I want to know how would i rig the camera and what type of lighting would i need? thank you any help is welcome

  7. I just joined cinematography.com Is an excellent website. I know this question probably gets asked a lot but i just though there is someone out there who can help me out. I am about to graduated from school. I have been on many student sets and i have develop an interested for cinematography. I know that school will not guarantee you a job in the industry. I know that if i EVER get a job on a set out of school will be a non paid job and a set p.a or something even lower without paid. I live in Phoenix, AZ the jobs here that come in from other parts of the country are always taken by the people that live here and connections blah blah and so on. I am moving to New York in search of work. My question really is how or what is the best way to get into a set if you dont know anybody and you have try to network, talk to people in the industry and all they do is talk and not paid any attention to you because you are young, poor and unexperienced??? any help or thoughts are greatly welcome THANK YOU!
  8. I am shooting a short next weekend. One of the problems i am running into is that i have to light a living room. In the living there are windows everywhere. I ran a couple of test and came up with the solution of blocking out the windows, the only problem that if i did that I am wondering if the audience would question where the light was coming from. The first step that i did to light the room was to use 2k 2k's they are mole richardson not open face but the redheads ( again if i am using the wrong terminology or doing something wrong DONT HESITATE TO CORRECT ME I AM JUST TRYING TO GET BETTER) After doing this i went ahead and do the key light for talent and then focus on their BACKLIGHT and then Lit the background is this correct? is there a better way to light this or a different order that would make this easier or better looking. The other question i had is if i dont block out the windows would it be easier to use windows to my advantage by adding the proper gels to correct to daylight. Thank you any help is greatly appreciate it. BTW i just joined today so i am trying to get used to the system. THANKS!
