  1. Ya Super16 would be nice but I have access to a RED through a friend at PS for a very low price and we just cant afford the processing costs of film. Thank you everyone for your advice, I think once I do a few tests (I havn't even ever touched a RED) then I will have a better idea of how to get the desired look.
  2. brilliant, thank you so much
  3. hi, Im a film student who is an aspiring cinematographer. I am aware of shutter angles and that they can be modified in degrees, but i have no idea... 1) why change the angle (under what circumstances) 2) what type of effect does one get from increasing and decreasing the angle? Can someone give me a brief rundown on shutter angles?
  4. Hi I'm a film student and I am DPing a short film that will potentially be shot on RED. the film is gritty and fast paced and i would like a certain amount of grain. however my concern is that the RED image is TOO pristine. does anyone with RED experience know how I can make this work or would I be better off with another camera? (although my preference is film, it is not an option for this project)
  5. If your scene takes place over a short period of time then it is important for the light to be consistent. So i think you are right to block off the exterior light, which is too bad because there is nothing prettier than dawn.
  6. beautiful, thats exactly what I wanted to know. thank you.
  7. I am a film student and I was wondering if a full CTO and a full CTB will cut the exact same amount of light?
