  1. Dear Group, I am looking to buy a lighting kit for use with mainly video. In the past I have used Lowell DP lights, work lights, and a variety of other inexpensive lights I have picked up. I would know like to spend about $1000 to buy a kit that will give me some flexibility. What kit would you recommend? Thank you
  2. I am shooting in very dusty conditions; does anyone have any cheap but effective suggestions for blimps? Thanks!
  3. I saw it a few months back at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The last film series was great, it included 4 Murnau films on the big screen! I was in heaven.
  4. Thanks everyone, I am going to talk to the building owner, and get him to sign a contract (if he agrees). I think he may be particularly sensitive since the building is currently abandoned and he takes allot of heat for not fixing it up. It is a beautiful building though, and I recently heard that renovation plans are in the works. Here is a link: http://www.snweb.org/brod.php I am not shooting the side with the mural! I hate it! Dan
  5. See there again is another issue that I would love advice on. I would like to use this building as a starting point in a horror movie; I am suggesting in the script that 2 murders too place in the building. Does anyone have any advice on dealing with the owner? Thanks David!
  6. Hello, I am shooting a horror movie, which we are hoping to have distributed in video stores. I have a legal question; If we are using the exterior of a building, do we need a release from the owner? The building is a central element to the movie, I was going to get permission anyway, but was curious about the legal side? Any thoughts? Thanks

    Lense Help

Hello everyone, I have shot video for years, but do not know much of the technical jargon regarding lenses, though I understand the look I am after. Could some one point me in a good direction to learn more about lenses, and also suggest some relatively inexpensive telephoto and wide angle suggestions for the DVX100A? Thank you very much!
