  1. Tim, now whats wrong with my image size? I believe it is alot less then 300X100, so why are you bringing that up?
  2. No thanks Tim. I like my signature just the way it is. If it was ment to be only 4 or 5 lines of text, then thats all you should be able to write in the signiture section of the control panel, 4 or 5 lines of text. Right? So stop playing GOD.
  3. There is no difficuty getting DE replacement bulbs, you can buy them anywhere and they are less expensive then the SE bulbs. Also, they are not less efficient . The reason you think they are is because DE globes are used more in Fresnel Heads which the output is less because of the fresnel lens and you think that a SE lamp is more efficient because when used in a Par there is no fresnel lens so you got more output light (no losses).
  4. DE HMI's are fine on Fresnel Heads, Great soft light output. If you go with Pars, then you will want to go with SE HMI's. You can find DE HMI's heads pretty cheap at Pyramid Films in CA. Hope this helps.
  5. Definitions: Kicker Generally a hard light source used to provide obvious highlights. (alt) A type of back light that is used to apply a Rim light to an actor's face. KICKER LIGHT Lanterns placed to the side of the actor to maximize the sculptural quality of the light are sometimes known as KICKERS. Hope this helps,
  6. The following link should help: http://www.students.tut.fi/~rolle/blue/gloss.html
  7. You can use a putt-putt generator with an Electronic Ballast anytime, as long as the putt-putt generator meets the power output needed. For example: to run a 120vac 1200W HMI ELectronic Ballast you need a minumum of a 2400W generator. A putt-putt generator can fluctuate from 90vac to 130vac and the electronic ballast will regulate the output power to the lamp at the same voltage and current with no flicker. Hope this helps,

  9. No, but you can try Cyber College at: http://www.cybercollege.com/tvp_ind.htm Good Luck!
  10. Be careful, when you boost a ballast past the spec of the globe your color temperature will start to change. As you boost high, your color temperature will start to get warmer. For example, you can go from 5600K to 4800K just by boosting the ballast past the 100% setting. Good luck!
  11. Parabolic Aluminized Reflector (PAR)
