  1. Hi everyone and sorry for my poor english... I worked in a short film where the DoP to maintain constant the f-stop in each scene, he varied the ISO (we did not have ND filter). Is it a right way to do it (without reaching extreme ISOs)?
  2. Hello, I made this simple sketch for understanding the exposure index in digital. I wonder if it is well.
  3. Hi everyone, This summer I have a short film in outside location (forest) as director of photography. We will use a Panasonic AG-HPX500. My doubts are: 1- The lens is SD. Would I can use a Black Pro-Mist 1/8 or it is inadvisable? 2- I want use a polarizing filter but, how true is that it ruins the image if there is movement? Because will be a lot of handheld camera… Thank you.
  4. Ok, same question but with 4x5.65 instead of 4x4. I have the same dude with Red Pro 18-85 lens. Thank you
  5. Does a 4x4 filter cover the entire front of Zeiss Master Prime lenses?
  6. Finally, do you have any advice for the exposition? I will not have waveform monitor or something and I will have to follow my instinct… Sorry for write again.
  7. Hello, As I always say, sorry for my poor english… This summer I have a short film in outside location (forest) as director of photography. We most probably will use Panasonic AG-HVX200E. I would have preferred film in autumn/winter to get a softer look like “The Village” and not have problems with contrast but the dates are a imposition. And I have some doubts… At first, I will put aperture as open as possible, with the help of camera’s ND (1/8 reduces 3 stops and 1/64 6 stops, right?) or ND filters to have more control. I would also use a polarizing filter but, how true is that it ruins the image if there is movement? Because will be a lot of handheld camera… Another thing. I want to conceal the appearance of the video as far as possible. I thought about lowering the detail in camera. Is better use a diffusor filter like black promist 1/8? I remember that I could not change settings like chroma level or color temp in camera with preset balance (you could change settings, but did not apply). I forgot if this affect to gamma too. Things like chroma I don’t care (postproduction is my friend) but obviously, is imperative that I can choose the gamma. I can’t do my own daylight balance and stored in memory because I will not have ligths. And I think that's all.
  8. Sorry, I meant to say "angle" instead of "aperture", as in my first post. Lapsus linguae, but thank you.
  9. Is in film around 200º the maximum aperture? I am very grateful for the answers, thank you.
  10. Hi people. Under normal conditions we (in europe) record at 25 fps with the shutter at 1/50 (180º). If we change the shutter to -for example- 1/500 what we are doing is closing the shutter angle. But... What happens when we increase the shutter to 1/16? I ask this because the maximum aperture is 200º approximately... What does the video camera then? Is it Recording unless fps? If so... Is reproduction maintained at the same frame rate (if not all would go on fast motion)? I hope I explained me well . Sorry for my poor english  Thank you.
  11. Hello everyone :) I would like to take this opportunity to ask you something. Soon I'll buy a pouch and I'm undecided between two: Lindcraft and Setwear I would buy the Setwear because I don’t have much money but… Does it have three internal compartments like the Lindcraft? (very useful to have a separate notebook, for exemple). Thank you and sorry for my poor english
