Hi,
Im new to highspeed imaging and am having trouble finding out how to light for it. I am working with a machine vision camera that will be operating at 120fps, and I need to use a strobe that is sync'd to the shutter for a crisp fluid dynamic effect (think soda commerical). I can't seem to find anything like this, except for unilux and clairmont, but they are only made for film cameras.
My other idea was to get a dmx strobe light and have it wired to receive sync from the camera, however the only strobe light i found that was quick enough (120fps) had a minimum flash duration of 1/125th of a second, which is too slow to produce a stop motion effect.
My only other option is to shoot at a shutter speed of 1/4000th, which is what i believe to be short enough to catch rain falling on the actor at close range, though i dont have any idea how much light i would need.
Please help!
