  1. How much do you ask per roll? Thanks! Guy
  2. Why do you want to use fast stock when low stock looks much better. Control your light!
  3. The director must know what he want and the DP must give the picture that the Director want. Simple! Only one Captain on the boat!
  4. If you want to look like film, only film can gives you that look.Res Epix or Alexa still digital crap.
  5. Hello It's not a belt. I checked it. The GS uses a take up motor with a clutch inside. It must be the clutch.. I cannot find a repair shop for the GS1200 Thanks a lot Guy
  6. I do not care too much about digital. It looks like crap. I stay with film. I do not want to follow that motion picture degradation
  7. Hi Do you know who can repair my Elmo GS1200 projector? The take up reel doesn't spin. It's a motor problem Thanks Guy
  8. They shot full screen because in the EU, projectors crop the picture to 1.66 and in the US , projectors crop to 1.85.It's one of the reasons too Guy Bodart Film Director/DP
  9. Hi By any luck, do you know a tech. to repair a GS1200 Elmo projector. The take up reel doen't pull the film Thanks a lot for your help!!! Guy bodart@intermind.net
  10. There is Fuji Velvia in Double Super 8 for Scoopic and Bolex RX4 DS8 on 100ft spool. guy@cameraspro.com
  11. Enlage the film gate for about 0.75mm on the opposite side of the claw and you will shoot super 16. You will just have to re-center the turret Guy Cameraspro
  12. Those cameras are very old! I own 2 new old stock 70DR with 3 Angenieux on each (One of them take the 40oft mag and motor) . 99% of problems comes from lack of lubrication. So, check all the points and lubricate the camera with any oil machine. It's very important that the camera doesn't run without oil. Guy
  13. I like Les Bosher ! He send me a lot of customers to make good conversions. We converted 2 Bolex for the James Bond movie "Die another day" If you want the best conversion send your camera to Cameraspro in the US.
  14. As I can see on the picture, your camera needs to be lubricated and the governor must be replaced. The 24fps must be on the 24 marking and the camera must run 27 secondes. Using the frame counter or a piece of film(Marked every 24frs) and a chronometer will tell you the speed of the camera. But NO ONE BOLEX runs at the real 24frs.Or you need a crystal motor. So, any Bolex run at + - 24 frs...But it's not a real 24frs to sync. Cameraspro
  15. Hi Do not try anything stupid. You will never get a good result. THe film will be scratched and you will be out of sync when you will put back the sprocket wheels Send the camera to guy@cameraspro.com and it will do the job for $20.00. He can even convert your camera to Super or Ultra 16mm
  16. An ORIGINAL Super 16mm NPR doesn't exist. They never built any NPR super 16mm cameras Cameraspro
  17. You just got a nice press paper! It's not a conversion, it's a destruction! You need a new turret with an original Ca-1 mount and recenter it to Super 16mmm format. You also need a new film gate. There is no question about that. The best in the US to convert Bolex, Eclair NPR and ACL i Cameraspro.com . When Bernie has problems with Eclair , he send the customers to Cameraspro.
  18. I agree 100%. Film is much better than any video cameras. Shoot on film and you will get a professional result. I do not see why to shoot on video to make it looks like film?!? Video post production is expensive as well as video to film transfer ....And the result will be always not very good. If you have a low budget shoot on film. If you have no budget do not shoot at all you will waste your time I am DP/Film Director for more that 40 years. I think that you can trust me. Film looks like film and video looks like video .Period! Take care Guy Bodart
