  1. I agree with David, as long as you keep it safe. I made a home made frame out of a PVC pipe then placed velcro strips over it. I then had a tailor sew velcro strips on the edges of a satin silk, then stretched it over the frame. It doesn't look "pro" but it works fine. Portable and handy on no/low-budget shoots. doubles as a butterfly for the outdoors. :)
  2. Hello, I have an upcoming project that will require me to shoot a clear acrylic cube-like contraption. Im planning to use large and diffused light sources from above and probably a lot of negative fill. I think this approach will suffice if the shots are static. The challenge is the board calls for moving shots on a jib and on a dolly and there will be shots where a person interacts with the contraption. Im shooting against black for the solo shots and against white where there's a human interaction. Im kinda concerned about reflections and glaring hotspots going wild. A dulling spray is out of the question since it might deteriorate the acrylic and I have to keep it clear so the content can be seen. Is my planned set-up sufficient? for those who have shot glass and acrylic before, what was your approach in terms of lighting set-up, controlling glare and reflections? Thoughts and Insights are welcome. Regards, AB Garcia DP
