I was curious what emulsion photography project is making, I assumed it was an independent one but I am noticing this on still photography, rebranded cine emulsions from kodak so I will inquire to find out. Yes, one I got on e-bay seemed to have turned my lenses into macro-mode - and I find it very difficult trying to focus on the lcd screen. ..I forgot what I was going to say.

More so a Non Reflex 8mm Digital Camera. Hey I was just curious if anyone has shot any material using the Pentax Q? I don't have much experience using dslr (in this case, a mirrorless camera). But.. I am fawned of the compact size, look and similarity to 8mm. I am looking to shoot some demos and online content and of course pictures.. since I don't even have a digital picture taker. Anywho, this camera seems it will fit my needs because it appears to fit 8mm lenses judging by the sensor size, correct me if I am wrong? The price seems to be fairly.. decent, 400 for the body and I will be using my film lenses. Ignore all that, I am just looking for anyone with video mode feedback on this camera.

Dom is right, I got my measurement backwards :unsure:. I am staring at the detached shutter blade as I type..

I believe it has an angle of 170 degrees or around there (170 or 173 I believe), I am in the process of dismantling one myself and the shutter looks to be close to 180. We will sit tight though, and let one with the correct knowledge answer.

Personally, my vote is for the bolex. Probably because it suits my needs the most! It is the best in it's price range! I love the look! The crank! The turret! The daylight spools! Perfect for landscape and experimental. Easy to learn and easy to modify. It's all a man needs, it's a nice swiss watch, but at the same time its the one camera I would trust to get down and dirty with. It's pretty much awesome. This is a man's cameras.. B)

I want them all! Just kidding, half kidding. The two models I do have and do keep around are the H16 (1950 model) and the REX-5. Do you have copies or pdf files of them, or are you second hand selling them? I would love to get my hands on the H16 non reflex and Rex-5 service/repair manuals.

I'm interested in finding these manuals myself. But I have only came across H16 Repair Manual selling on E-bay I'm assuming this is illegal though, making duplicates and profited off the company. There seems to be no other way on getting your hands on this gold, unless you're one of the few? lucky people who have the originals. Let me know if you find anything else. I'm still looking for answers, might just have to sacrifice a perfectly working bolex :blink:, which will be a blood bath!

P.S. I am remembering now. I believe my camera used to be a double perf system. Anywho, it was converted to single perf at some point in time, half a century ago.. I bought it when I was interning in New York one summer, the seller told me he did some work on it. It seems to have a very precise shutter, also seems to be in tip top shape, besides the recent intruder! Time to test my luck with the octameter.
