Hey everyone, I'd like to do a top 4 vintage lens list. There have been discussion about people using old glass from like the 60's and 70's but not collectively narrowing down a top lens for use with DSLR cameras..
Hey Justin, That is a beautiful matte box...I love ARRI anything so I really like this matte box but unfortunately $1,500 is a bit much for this rig.. I think the Cine City box is what i'm leaning toward as of now.
Thanks for the reply.
I a confused as to the price of some of these normal slates.. They are simply a piece of plexiglass, two pieces of wood and a henge on one side... and they're like $60 and up.
Well depending on the application alot of people are going with the Z-finder from Zacuto....and If its a set shot and you do not have to refocus then you can zoom in x5 or x10 in the live view mode before hitting record.

Redrock Micro has a great mattebox for the $$
exactly....but what I need is something for alittle less.
I hear good reviews about the Cine City matte boxes..but they only have a single french flag and screw directly onto your lens...I can't have that..I use DSLR cameras..so I need something that I can use with those..but cheap.
Hello all. I am looking for an affordable matte box for an indi film that can support up to 2 filters, has french and side flags and can support a various range of lens sizes from 52mm - 72mm or wider for DSLR lenses or Ziess primes. Swing out henge is optional but would be great for lens changing..thats definately a plus but I can make due without.
Any discussion on products would be great.
Thanks!!
Wow that is significantly smaller..
these lenses wouldn't really be "future proofing" either...say if I were to go with a 5D or whatever might come out in the future that is full frame.
Thanks for the help Brian!
Does anyone know anything about the Nikkor Cine-lenses? All I know is that they are C-mount lenses but has anyone know if they are any good? I want to try them on my DSLR's
Thanks!
