  5. Some days ago, in LA CORUÑA GLOBAL SUPER 8 DAY, in Spain, this masterpiece was projected on big screen with a Elmo Gs1200 Xenon pojector with a big sucess: congratulations, Marc!
  6. DS8 can be run with all the 16 mm wide in 3.1 format with my Bolex camera, built by a very well know Canadian specialist
  7. Hi: This short documentary was shot with the Fuji ZC1000 using cartridges loaded with Ektachrome 100D. Indoors of Church was exposed a 400 with push processing. Magnetics stripes were added and sync sound recorded. Camera was the Fuji ZC1000 (link to a Sony cassette recorder for stereo sound), with this lenses: Fujinon 1.8 7.5-75 mm, Fujinon 1.8 5.5 mm and Pentax 1.0 8-48 mm Thanks for watching. CINEcerely, Ignacio Benedeti Corzo vimeo.com/102304969
  8. Hi: if I shot with negative, the sync is made with the computer very fast. If I shot with reversal, with magnetic stripes, I transfer the sound to the tracks using the variable speed of the projector and starting again each few takes: a very slow process. CINEcerely, Ignacio
  9. Dear Immanuel, many thanks. Yes, I use a daylight 85 type filter made by BW. Reload of Single-8 cartridges is easy. CINEcerely, Ignacio
  10. Thanks for your kind valoration, dear Anthony. Fumeo telecinemas (except the 9131) always do beautiful old fashioned rounded borders. You can obtain the same effect if you use a Braun Visacustic 2000 or a Beaulieu Studio as a telecine unit. CINEcerely, Ignacio
  11. Hi: this is a musical film shooted with my friend Marc for the Spaniard band "Pleasant Dreams", using super-8 Kodak Vision 500 film loaded in Single-8 cartridges, using the Fuji ZC1000 camera with several lenses, and some time lapse and long exposure shots. Thanks for watching. CINEcerely, Ignacio http://vimeo.com/90063414
  12. Dear JL: a beautiful film stock for a very pretty girls! Nice telecine and postproduction, too. A pleasure to watch. Congratulations! CINEcerely, Ignacio
  13. Fantastic musical clip in amazing 2.8:1 format!!!
  14. Hi: yes, Aviphot has less grain and a bit more latitude exposed at 100 ASA and with 1 stop pull processing. Of course, this stock is very grainy but no more than the old Ektachrome 160, Agfachrome160 or Fujichrome RT200N. In my opinion, is a good film for manual editig and telecine: so, very good for some projects, with both worlds in your hands. Colour palette is interesting for some shooting, as this one, a medieval market. Also, I like the very cheap price of Aviphot if you buy it in 72 mts spools to reload Single-8 cartridges. The Aviphot is coated on a poliester base, another strong point thinking in archive purposes of special events as weddings, Christining, etc. CINEcerely, Ignacio
  15. Hi: my test of the very cheap AGFA Aviphot loaded in Single-8 cartridges using the Fuji ZC1000. First half is exposed at 100 ASA with 1 stop pull processinG to get less grain. Second half, at 200 ASA. Spanish sound track only: I'm sorry.
  16. Hi: this Single-8 short movie tells the story of the cruise vessel LEONID BREZHNEV and its relationship with the British JOHN WRIGHT'S MOVIE GROUP led by Jonh with the support of MOVIE MAKER magazine, directed by Tony Rose. Narration both in English and Spanish. Thanks for watching. CINEcerely, Ignacio
  17. Fantastic job, perhaps the best standard 8 underwater documentary ever shooted. Congratulations! CINEcerely, Ignacio
  18. Hi: Here is my ZC1000 with the two new metalic badges indicating "Fujifilm ZC1000N Motion Picture Film Camera". I´m very PROUD of shoot with ciné film.
  19. Hi: I have filmed this short movie, few weeks ago, using the Pentax 1.0 8-48 mm with the Iscorama 42 anamorphic, with my Fuji ZC1000 and Ektachrome 100 (I´m sorry, but the soundtrack is only in Spanish) CINEcerely, Ignacio
  20. Dear Andries, the "last master roll" means the very last 35 mm big roll of R25N (polyester stock) from which are slitted the 8 mm film to load the Single 8 cartridges. When this stock will be gone, R25N will be gone forever. But RETRO 8 sell in single 8 cartridges FRESH Fuji Velvia (the best reversal stock nowdays) and also Fuji Astia 100 and "push" 400. Also fresh Orwo B&W stock Retro8's film price is not expensive. Because it includes processing and shipping (2 time shipping: first time fresh film delivery to your home and second time processed film delivery) Fuji process R25N now only once a month, but Retro8 process all the other stocks everyday. The owner, Tak Kohyama is a very busy person. He is also a TV producer. He travels around world every month. He receives more than 100 emails a day. If someone don't receive the answer for his email, please write again and push.
  21. Fantastic job! The end of the short movie, in Ultrapan "more-than-Cinerama" format, is amazing! Congratulations. CINEcerely, Ignacio
  22. Dear Stig: Retro 8 is in bussines and going strong. One month ago they sent me a batch of 30 Fujichrome R25N single-8 cartridges (poliester stock), slitted from the very last master roll. About the FTS cord, in tape recorders with "remote" you can plug the cable here, but in the Sony WMD6 Professional a technician must do the special connection for this cable. CINEcerely, Ignacio
  23. Thanks for your comment, dear Stig. I bought my main FTS cord in Fuji Film Spain, in Barcelona, many years ago, but in 2006 I was able to get other cable, as spare, when visiting Tokyo I went to Retro8, the famous japanese lab owned by Tak Kohyama. The FTS (Film Tape Sync) is pluggled into the tape recorder and the ZC1000 tape control socket on the back of the grip. When the ciné camera' s shutter release buttom is depressed, then, film and tape run together to record sound and picture simultaneously. Similar cables can be DYS made, and I have seen ZC's sockets changed for standard mini jacks
  24. I agree with you. By this, I always record the sound with the Sony Walkman, and using Fuji cassettes of course! Many thanks for your words. Could you kindly copy and past your commetary in Vimeo?.
