  1. I?m looking for a DP for a one or two day project in downtown Los Angeles. This is a non-pay gig, but you it will show in Festivals. You will provide with credit, food and drink of choice. I?m looking for someone with experience because I?m want this project to look good, but all reels are welcome. The story takes places in a upper class restaurant and there is a lot of low lighting, so we would get together at the location for planning. Must important we need someone that has great personality and is willing to work equally with others. I have taken my time with cast because I?m want everyone in this crew to be able to be friends not just co-workers. We are a very talented and relax group of peez. So if you want to come on board. Please reply to the email address below: Bluemunlight@gmail.com Topic line: DP here.
  2. what's up everyone I'mn new in this business and last saturday i was working as a AC for a TV show in Los Angeles and the DP recommended for me to join a Union. Does anyone know the union for AC and DP in los angeles? thank you

  4. Does anyone know the best DV Cam to use that comes close to 34mm, 24fps, 16:9? I have been using the DVX100, but I wanted to know if anyone knows of something better.
  5. Thannk you Kevin, i didn't tihnk about the break lights. I tihnk what we are doing is that we are shooting from the back of a truck and the hero is going to be chasing the camera or the truck. So i need to somehow light him up with a spot light and i'm going to do what you said about lighting him from the side with another light and having someone running alone with him. Any other sujecstion will be more then welcome. Thank you all
  6. Ben that was cool i liked it. Is that a Fisheye lence? How did you give it that green look to it? Did you use a filter for that? In shooting a Video on DVX100a and i would like to learn new tricks.
  7. Can anyone give me recommendation on a short project I?m doing this weekend. Its 3 minute long. The Director wants to have a continuing full body shoot where the main character is running in the middle of the street in downtown at night. He wants to shoot it with a DVX100 at 24fps. We are using a car to follow our hero. Can anyone give me any advice of the best way to do this and not look shoppie. Any help will be well appreciated.

  11. I applied for fall 2005 and the guy told me they only take like 70 DP per year. But don't give up if they don't take you this year just apply for 2006 and do some work in the mean time.... Are you from Texas by any chance???
