  2. Hi all guys, just a couple of questions: does anyone know how many Eclair Panoram have been made and how much is the actual value of the camera? Thanks Giorgio
  3. Hi all guys, I'm looking for an Eclair ACL II converted to super16 in working conditions with kinoptik finder and the Thomson late motor. I will consider also cameras located overseas but I prefer to deal here in Europe. Thanks Giorgio
  4. HI Daniel, thanks so much for your helpful answer. sadly the seller did not answer to my questions about serial number etc.. so I'm not so sure to bid as the camera is listed as not tested... I will try to contact him again to get some more infos, it's a good kit for a good price to me. By the way, where is the detail of the inboard battery holder and is the viewfinder removeable on the ACL cameras? Ciao Giorgio
  5. Hello Eclair owners and expert. I'm interested on this camera: http://www.ebay.it/itm/350580839329?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 but I'm not sure what model it is. Looks like an ACL II but with the early angenieux finder and other details are different, does anyone can help me on this? Thanks Giorgio
  6. Thanks Gregg for your thoughts. What about the viewfinder, it's a Kinoptic or Angenieux? Also, the ACL II version must have the inboard battery and this seems a normal ACL battery package or I'm wrong? Giorgio
  7. Hi guys, I have found this interesting kit on ebay: http://www.ebay.it/itm/350580839329?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 does anyone can help me to recognize which model it is? I don't think is an ACL II, it seems the 1.5 version or something else? It's a kinoptic finder or the Angenieux version? Thanks for your help. Giorgio
  8. Thanks Gregg and Jordan for your advices. Really, I don't want to buy overseas as the shipping cost and the duties would be too expensive. I have found a ACL package some time ago and it has been sold for 800 Euro, was really a good deal. Les Bosher will be my service man for my Eclair camera and probably for the Super 16 conversion. Giorgio
  9. Interesting opinions, thanks. The Arri SrII would be a good choice, if someone can locaate a good one for under 1500...give me a shout. Giorgio
  10. Sorry mate, I would not sell the lens separately, thanks anyway. Giorgio
  11. Hi guys, I'm looking for a very good Eclair ACLII camera package. Normal 16 or converted to Super 16 mm, with last type motor, lens and Kinoptic viewfinder. Any help? Thanks Giorgio
  12. this lens has a full Super16 coverage. and this is a image of the internal prism, deteriorated on the left, you will see that into the finder but not on your film, solving the problem will cost about 200 Euro but you can use the camera as is without any problems as I did.
  13. Hi all, I have to sell or for trade my Bolex EBM Super 16 camera. Camera has been converted by Cameraspro to super 16 format, camera is a NOS from Bolex swiss and it's in brand new conditions apart one little issue: the rhomboid prism is a little bit deteriorated but this will not affect in anyway the image, you can read a thread about that under the Bolex section. That aside the camera and lens are in mint conditions, with a brand new battery, charger and power grip. Looking for a very good Eclair ACL II normal 16 or super 16 with motor and lens. Price for the kit is 1200 euro Ex postage to any country. Thanks Giorgio
  14. Hi all guys, I've had a very good deal for a Gossen Multisix meter, I have also downloaded the manual and I have a question as the explanation is not so clear to me. Under the cine section on the manual is reported what you see in the pic. As all the Gossen meters with cine function the FPS are programmated for a shutter angle of 180° you need to insert correction values to obtain the deidered speed of a selected shutter angle different from the standard 180°. So really I can't understand nothing on the chart reported.... Does anyone have experience with a Gossen meter and the cine settings? Shooting with a Beaulieu 4008 is not a problem as the meter has the 1/90 shutter speed option (really close to Beaulieu 1/87 24fps shutter speed) but how can I do to have the exact reading for Bolex EBM for example (1/67 photometric speed) without doing the f/stop 2/3 compensation? Thanks for your help. Giorgio
  15. Vision 3 is a Tungsten balanced film so if you are shooting with natural lights, indoor or outdoor makes no difference, the filter must be on and the film speed changed to 320 ASA. Giorgio
  16. HI all, does anyone can confirm to me if the Arri 16S flat door serial number below 6000 can be fitted with the periscope attachment? It has the Zeiss non removeable finder. Thanks Giorgio
  17. Hi Chris, I have tested the meter and the auto mode, it works perfectly so I would like to try at least one roll with this setting. Any help? Giorgio
  18. Hi guys, I have shooted some rolls of Tri-x with my Beaulieu 4008 and they sorted out beautiful, using the spot meter and leningrad 6 incident reading, great exposure! Now I need to shot 4 rolls of Vision 3 500 in a pub with artificial light. I'm thinking to use a 1600 W halogen photo lamps plus another 500 watt lamp, all the lights will be diffused. My question is, (I know of other thread about that sorry...) How can I set the Beaulieu asa dial for filming with Vision 3 if I want to try the auto mode? Really I can't understand the manual about that, green dot, against green dot, outdoor light, opposite green dot with Tungsten film etc....? sorry for the stupid question guys but I'm really a litte bit confused. Thanks Giorgio
  19. Hi Dirk, thanks for your tip. I will use stainless....but the total cost of the processor is about 500 Euro so I would be able to save a tons of money in the future, that's for sure. Ciao Giorgio
  20. HI all guys, I'm planning to build my processing machine to develop a full roll 122ft of 16mm film. I know that stainless is a very good material and I would use it for the wall bath of the processor but I need to know if the Anticorodal 6082 alloy it's a good choie for the cylinder and all the other parts in contact with film and photo chemicals. Here the material datasheet: http://www.aircraftmaterialsuk.com/data/aluminium/6082.html Any help? Others options? Thanks Giorgio
  21. HI all guys, I'm looking to find a source for the Kodak Revarsal B&W chemical kit. I want to try to develop some 7266 rolls but I have not found the kit anywhere in Italy. I have all the Kodak formulas for the chemicals but sincerely I don't want to buy such a quantity of pure chemicals to make the developers, fixer, bleach etc... so, does anyone knows where I can buy the Kodak kit here in Europe? Which kodak code I need to looking for? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Giorgio
  22. HI JEAN lOUIS, I KNOW THAT THE ARRI 16 bl IS NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR A SUPER16 CONVERSION BUT IT LIKE ME VERY MUCH, I WILL SEE. THE OTHER WAY TO GO IS TO BUY A 35MM CAMERA BECAUSE I ALWAYS LIKE THE TECHNISCOPE 2 PERFORATION SYSTEM AND I'M VERY TEMPTED. NOT TOO MUCH READING ABOUT THAT SO DO YOU KNOW GUYS IF THE ARRI IIC IS A EASY CAMERA TO CONVERT TO 2 PERFORATION OR NOT? WHAT'S ABOUT THE KONVAS 1M AND 2M CAMERAS? GIORGIO
  23. Thanks guys, thanks Jean Louis. Not happy at all to read your answers about poor quality job and missing part.. I have contacted the seller to tell him about all the faults of the camera and to have the camera repaired or a full refund. I must admit that he is a very good and honest guy to me but I can't believe he was not aware of the pronblems. I will see, anyway if he will refuse to repair the camera at his expense I will get my money back and I will try to find an Arri 16Bl, I really don't like the dark vision of the Bolex, I'd like to have a much brighter finder to shoot in poor light situation and this camera is not what was I'm looking for. Thanks Giorgio
  24. Here some pics of the upper part.
