I have a Arri 2c motor cable that has a XLR 5-pin connector. I disassemble the 5-pin connector and find pin 1 and pin 4 are connected to the wire. Do I just un-solder the wires at pin 1 and pin 4 and re-solder them to 4-pin connector respectively? Or is there any change need to be made? I don't want to burn the motor so I need someone who knows this. Thanks a lot!

I have a 3.50-inch tft monitor for video assist. The power line for the monitor has two separate wire on the end, 1 red and 1 black, both with a little copper wire out I tried to connect the wire directly to the lead-seal 12v battery. red to positive and black to negative. The screen doesn't seem to turn on. The battery is fully charged. I figure I may have connected the wrong way. Anyone knows how to connect a small monitor to 12v? Do i need other cables? Thanks!

Thanks for your response! I'll be very careful on that. and take a mid-range ASA 250D in the case, what is the average length of life of raw stock if kept refrigerated? Much appreciated! Jerry

Hi, I'm new to 35mm, I'm looking to buy some cheaper raw stock for practice. Is it safe to get the older stock like Kodak EXR or VISION? The wiki page says they are discontinued a long time ago. Hi Ben, Thanks for the information! and how's the digital ones(iphone app) compared to the regular viewfinders? I'm not a fan of digital stuff, and I'm assuming it's not as accurate as an optical Alan Gordon, but I do see people use it. Thanks again Jerry

Hi there, I'm new to 35mm and just getting started. I'm thinking about getting a Director's viewfinder to get a sense of framing. Alan Gordon's seems like the most popular one What is the difference between the Mark Vb and older models like Mark V or Mark IV? and what other kind of viewfinders would anyone recommend?
