  1. I say if you have to, turn up the gain in camera, and then do noise reduction in post. Don't know why you wouldn't just turn on some lights.
  2. Great website. But you seem to stop posting. What happen?
  3. Haven't used it myself but I heard Small HD are good.
  4. I like the cinematography in Hugo. Especially the way the particles dance around in the light. How can I achieve this? Can I do this with a hazer/fogger?
  5. Yeah right now I'm using technicolor cinestyle and I grade it in post.
  6. I have a t2i and I install the technicolor Cinestyle for higher dynamic range. It helps me from over/underexposing. However, I think it all depends. However, shouldn't you expose to the left since it's easier to get detail back from the shadow than highlights?
  7. don't forget about the GH2, which has image comparable or even sharper than the new Canon 5d mark 3. With hack of course.
  8. Hi my name is Victor Nguyen and I am a beginner filmmaker. I use to spend most of my time on Cinema5d forum where they mostly talk about pixel peeping, DSLRs, Lenses, and other gear.I recently watch Hugo and was tantalize by the way this film was shot and lighted. I love the way the dust particle dance around. I wish to learn much about cinematography on this website before I get deploy for the army in 7 month. Cheers!!
  9. Wish some one told me that before I got the t2i. Frankly I think Canon is starting to slip a little bit.
