  1. Yeah, I have to agree with you all. In my opinion they both are interchangeable.
  2. Thanks everyone for your critique of my work. I was the dp and it was a short time span to shoot but it was fun. I will be behind the camera again in a few weeks and I will hopefully improve on this next project. This community is an excellent resource for me and I really do appreciate your honesty. I would love to collaborate and build a relationship with a gaffer, so if you are and live in VA hit me up. Mario Concepcion Jackson
  3. My advise would be to redecorate the kitchen to add some interesting dynamic. Afterwards, I would bounce light and use flag and nets to shape as needed. This is a technique I have used many times when shooting with white walls and it has worked well. Mario Concepcion Jackson
  4. I have been shooting quite a few shorts lately and I wish that I could build a friendship with a gaffer. Someone to have on my shoots whom I trust and that can light. I am quite comfortable myself with doing this but it would be great to have someone like this on set when I am shooting. If their is any gaffers here and live in the VA area it would be great to team up sometime. Additionally, I am wondering is it best to train a gaffer or find someone who has a passion for it? Please no sarcasm or crazy responses. thanks in advance Mario Concepcion Jackson
  5. Hey Fellow cinematographers Below is a link to a short film I recently co-dp'd. Give me your honest opinion on lighting and camera work. It was shot on dslr's. Somehow the colors seem to bleed in my opinion. Nevertheless, I await your thoughts. Here is the link Thanks Mario C. Jackson
