  1. If you don't have big bucks for Steadicam, simply put a pillow under your upper arm to absorb the shock and help steady the camera. I learned this a few months ago at a workshop called Light & Shadow in NYC. They taught a lot of simple and practical tips for filmmaking which helped me a lot.
  2. I've made films for a few years and I took Solar's Light & Shadow workshop a few months ago. I wasn't quite sure at first, but it turned out to be great. I liked their practical and no-nonsense approach. Their price is quite reasonable and you'll learn a lot. Hope this will help you make your decision.
