  1. Movies I've seen in bold, movies i agree with underlined. The other 3 are great movies, but in terms of cinematography I feel like those wouldn't be worthy of top 10 heres mine. no particular order Citizen Kane American Beauty Road to Perdition Children of Men Amelie Melancholia Fight Club Kill Bill Butch cassidy and the sundance kid Saving Private Ryan
  2. Not bad a t all. Only thing that had me off guard a bit was that the video couldn't seem to commit between wether they're aware of the camera or not. There were parts were they were aware, but others (the masturbation scene for example) where it felt like they didn't seem to realize there's a camera in their face. Not sure if this was your doing at all, but just threw me off a bit. Visuals were pretty solid though, good lighting for the most part. One moment i didn't like for lighting was when he fell towards the camera and there was a major hot spot on his face (but if their knowledgable of the camera man its fine)
  3. I really enjoyed your reel. I just transferred to CSUN and am entering the program. How'd you like it? I really havent gotten too many opinions out of people besides "its good," hopefully you can give me a little more detail than that. haha
  4. @Lorenzo- Thanks man, really appreciate the feedback. I'm glad the feel we went for was communicated well @Bill- I am aware of the strange ending, part of what we were doing was a twist on traditional narrative. It became less and less experimental as we went on so i can see how it seems strange. I want to make it quite a bit longer, but the person i worked with doesn't feel the same. He worries about losing the feel of the piece. Another reason i wanted to extend it had to do with the motivation, theres an insane amount of backstory we had that never made it onto the film and a big piece of that was motivation with his sister and also simply survival. We did try to make it look as if he was there for resources though, not just to visit. Actually, every shot was handheld, but with a rig. I think i know which shots you're referring to as stationary though. Is there one in particular that you would have a suggestion for? Thanks for taking the time to check it out and give me feedback
  5. Hello, this is my film, 64 cents, which won an award for best Drama at the Cal State San Marcos Film Festival. I co-directed, but did all cinematography of this piece. We received a lot of praise for the camera work among teachers and peers, but I'm looking for more opinions, or what i can improve on. It is about a young boy returning to his home, years after an apocalypse following y2k. Feel free to comment on this forum or the video's page. thank you. WWW.vimeo.com/braceylemons/64cents
