  1. I have 4 J.G. McAlister 10k Big Eye lights for sale. I will sell them as a set or individually. These have 21" lenses and are in excellent condition all parts are there. I am asking $375.00 for each but will take any offers. Each unit weighs just under 100 lbs. These would be great on set or re-purposed. My email is davet123@ymail.com or cell 248-767-1oo7 Thanks Dave
  2. This film camera is up for auction, it does not have any stamps or labels on it. I have not personally inspected this camera. Can anyone tell me what it is? Thanks dave

  5. Had this question in the lighting forum, 92 views No replies..... So how about the camera guys? I am now the proud owner of (4) J.G. McAlister, 21" frenel lights. I low bid on an auction and won. These lights are in good/great condition, all parts are present except no bulbs and the owner thought they were 10k's. I have a couple of questions: 1. Are these lights still viable in todays production needs? 2. Should I put them back in service or re-purpose them? 3. Should I re-socket them ? My ultimate goal is to get a small lighting/grip trailer going for local rentals.... Thanks in advance
  6. What else would be giving off light at a camp site? Camp fire, full moon maybe some of those tiki torches placed around the camp site..... come to mind. Keep your shots CU and MS and you could get away with light coming from a full moon.... A little flicker light with some warm gel coming in from the fire pit... For a remote site you should try to get a small generator, I used multiple CFL spot lights on a bathroom fixture I got at Home Depot. Test everything out in your backyard before you set out... Hope this gives you some ideas dt
