  1. I just hope Kodak brings Ektachrome as 16mm Motion Picture Film. That would be really, really awesome
  2. I have the Original CineMeter II (Hardware) and i know there is an App which they say it probably is the best and most accurate Lightmeter App. But i believe you need to buy a little Hardware. A Cap to pull over the Mobilephone Cam. Have a look for Cinemeter 2 app. Anyway, i believe every Lightmeter App needs that little Hardware to work propperly. Costs you 3$ or so... good luck
  3. Ignore my previous Post. Did not see this. I am looking for a 25mm with PL mount. If i had the Funds i would buy the whole package....
  4. Would you consider to sell the 25mm only? I already have a 6mm, 12mm and a 16mm. If YES, what would you ask? I could buy in February. Thanks
  5. I just seen Kevin - Home alone, version 2018. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKYABI-dGEA Funny.
  6. My alltime Favorite Camera Move was in Band of Brothers, the Bethoven Scene. Nicely Executed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMctnc_ogD4 Also i loved the Sister Separation Scene in The Color Purple. Great Camera Movent with many little extras (watch the children) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY8Pf2rgP5s
  7. Yes we had to much light on the actor (Dimitri Stapfer: http://www.dimitri-stapfer.ch ) because the wall of the tall building reflected to much.
  8. This is NOT the Mag which was involved but i will show what happened: This is the Mag Closed (propperly) And this is how it was in my Case: After i loaded (yes it was ME) i put a tape around it, still in the changing bag. This caused the door NOT to flip open and this have lead me into thinking its closed. I still think it was a stupid mistake i did. Because it was a medium bug production (see my entry at Today's Office) EDIT: the gap here in this picture seems wider than the one i had on the set. If it was like this, i probably would have seen it. And everyone was in hurry....
  9. The camera was most of the time in a dark spot, rolling towards the ambient light on a dolly. The magazine door did not flip open as it was taped "Loaded 500T". I just found out when i removed the mag from the camera. i guess i can only wait and see what happens when the film returns from the lab. Thanks
  10. So, we went to shoot on my SR3 yesterday and the last Scene Locations where inside a pretty dark Bar / Restaurant. We used Vision3 500T and had just an Kinofloh at about 30 to 50% dimmed (settings: warm) overhead a Person. Apperture was fully open. So the Light was kinda Ambient warm. Not to Bright. (See attached Image, Cellphone Photo) Unfortunately one Magazine was not 100% closed and there was a tiny Gap on the Takup Side. Maybe 1 to 1,5 mm (Fingernail thick), not much. How much is the Change i had Straylight inside? It was not in bright Daylight... How much of Damage could have been done? It would devastate me because (shame on me) i loaded the Mags myself and can not blame someone else.... Randy
  11. David, the Question is if he was serious about this? I can't believe someone seriously asking for advice :D
  12. My Work Yesterday (16 Dec. 2018) Shooting a Short in France. It was freezing cold :D but my SR3 didn't die. Enjoy
  13. I went to Filmschool and learned Sh*** Absolutely regret it. Then i attended Masterclasses by Shane Hurlbut ASC, Vinzent Laforet, Alex Buono, Werner Herzog....i watched David Mullens videos (behind the scenes etc..) I've learned more than in Filmschool. If possible i tried and improvised what i have learned. Other People have other Opinions but for me, i am disapointed. I wasted my time in Filmschool. Just my 5 cents
  14. :D :D LOL Hillarious. I'm not really into Porn, i never was because i think its boring. However, i have a Friend who once did camera on cheap porn Videos. I believe it was in the 80' early nineties, and i remeber he said it was very, very anoying sometimes and absolutely NOT his thing. However, he also told me that he made really good $$$. He hated the job but it was paid good. I could never do that  (seriously, i never touched a porn camera. not even for 50k)
  15. Looking for affordable Glasses : 35mm, 50mm, 85mm (50mm prefered) Must be S16 and PL Mount. Can be standard Speed. I can afford max 1300$ per lense Thanks R
  16. I'd LOVE to create such images. under ONE condition.... David is the Cinematographer  No one could do a better Job
  17. Haha Phil, i just needed a second to realize what you meant, but you are absolutely right! Of course i have seen BR 2049 and i loved it (kinda) but i wished it was more in the BR1 style as you try to say. Intrestingly it seem, budgetwise they didn't need a huge ton of $$$ for the Production. Most of it was selfmade with 3D Printers and Milling Machines. They rented Camera and maybe one or two Kinofloh. Other Lightsources where improvised. Even a Cellphone was used... This is the best example how to work with a low budget. That really makes me thinking. It's a good kick in my butt, a motivation igniter! HA!! - Maybe something i could do in the future. No hard negotiations with Productions Companies anymore. :D :P
  18. I don't know if you ever have seen this. I believe this is really, really Amazing! There is a Production Diary about a Short Film which is a Blade runner Style Film. I'm blown away. This is soo cool. A must see This is Part 15. I Choose it because for me this is Visually the most Awesome Thing i've seen. Practical Effects at it's best https://youtu.be/B3M-uZDoYLQ Here is where to start https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhibNPSlQic&index=2&list=PLGu0l9WfhTG6DMKKCP-Zjg8P9lG0uGaPs Enjoy

  20. Hello, I am considering to purchase a TV Logic LVM Monitor for my Arri SR3 and i wonder what if..... The Monitor has a Zebra Option. I used this when i shot Digital with my GH5, but does it work with Film too? Or should i rather use the good old Lightmeter? Has anyone done this Experiment yet? Using Zebra on the Monitor to set Exposure? I'm pretty sure that Analog Film and Digital Sensors are a complete Different pair of Shoes regarding this Question. I apprechiate your Opinion Randy
  21. I might have a Superamerica MKII for sale. It's a complete kit but no Batteries (thats easy to solve) If someone is Interested make me an est. offer what you are willing to Pay. I can then discuss price with the owner and make Photos (i dont have any at the moment)
  22. So, i got my Arri SR3 the other Day and im off the Moon. Lovin it. It came with the Standard IVF and ZV4 TC Splitter, and here the "???" illuminate in my Eyes. No Idea. I have never dealt with TC before. I did everything Analog, writing on the Clapper Board, yelling scene blabla take one etc... However, im not afraid to ask because even on Youtube i could not find Answers. So, there is this Company who makes these Clapperboards with "Standard TC Input Signals": http://www.denecke.com Can someone please push me into the right Direction? What do i need to start? The Slate (of course) and a TC Generator? How do i connect these onto my SR3? And what type of Audio Recorder do i need? Certainly the Recorder and the Clappboard must be Synchronised, however, what is the ZV4 for? I mean the Display with the Digits is to be Filmed and the same Timecode is Synchron on a Recorder. I'm sure someone is used to this and can Explain this to me :) I'm aware the TC / Slate / Recorder thing, how it should work, but what about the TC Signal from the Camera? I'm filming the Digits....why do i need a Signal from the Camera? I'm confused. Thank you. Wanna see Pix of my SR3? :D :) SR3 Advanced Body with IVS , 2 Brandnew Batteries, Charger, 4 Mags in Metalcase, 1 RCU-1 in Case, DC 2 DC Converter, ZV4 Splitter, Leather Barney, Rain Cover.
  23. Hi Everyone, So i have this IVS on my SR3, and i am wondering about which Monitor would work optimal in conjunction with this unit? Maybe someone with an Idea? How about Recorders? If i have an absolut clean Mirror and the Camera doesn't run, can i Record image at least in Full HD? I have no idea what kind of camera is in the Video Assist. Probably a CCD kind of? Thanks
