    This blimp is in really nice condition for it's age. I think it'd be a classy display piece - especially if you pick up a wooden tripod for it. This is for a LOCAL SALE ONLY in Los Angeles. I won't/can't ship this heavy blimp, unfortunately. I do not have a case for this blimp, so someone will need to pick up and pay cash (or Zelle) in person. I usually live in NYC but plan to visit LA at the end of April. If timing doesn't work for a sale while I'm visiting LA, a family member can assist with the transaction. I never actually used this blimp, but in the early 2010s I did have an electrician friend who worked at Clairmont Camera change out the cracked old plastic power cable connector on it. It used to have a very old (and unrecognizable to me) power connector, and my friend changed it to a 12V 4-pin Cannon (XLR). So that's the connector that can now power the blimp (to power camera inside and light inside the blimp). I can make no guarantees about the functionality of this blimp and how much it could quiet down a 16S since it's been a while since I did a test run of a camera in it. From my memory, I think one plate was for the an Arri 16S camera, and the other type of plate was for the Arri 16M camera, but I don't remember if I actually ever tested both my 16S and 16M cameras in this blimp when I owned them, so I really can't make any promises there either. If I had the space for this at my NYC apartment (I really don't, unfortunately), I'd keep this and put it on display. As you can see in the pictures, there are some small spots of light rust. You can also see the fabric accordion style matte box bellows have gotten a little rough over the years. This was stored in a climate controlled house (not a garage), but there are a few signs of it's age. An unusual circle in center of coating - I'm not sure what this could be caused by but it's very subtle and I'm pretty sure would not affect the image. No visible oil on the iris blades. Marked in Meters and Feet - CF as marked is 3' Cosmetically the exterior is very good/excellent - the lens looks like it was repainted in the last 10 years and hasn't had much use since. One of the screws holding on the focus ear tabs has been lost, so that sometimes dangles. Iris and focus both turn smoothly. FE very clean from any scratches/pits/coating damage. RE has no pits, but has a few small light cleaning marks (light coating scratches), and one or two small scratches, although small enough that I doubt the image would be affected in any noticeable way. There appears to be some oil on the iris blades. Marked in Meters and Feet - CF as marked is 4.75' Cosmetically the exterior is good - but as expected for a lens of this age, the original paint has faded and some of the fill paint on engravings has faded. Iris and focus both turn smoothly, although the iris ring turns with a bit more resistance than the others. FE very clean from any scratches/pits/coating damage. RE very clean from any scratches/pits/coating damage. No visible oil on the iris blades. The housing is a little wider in the focus markings than other 100mm Cookes I've seen, and it may be something custom since it's engraved "CAMERA SERVICE CENTER INC. NYC." Iris and focus both turn smoothly. FE has a few very minor coating scratches (cleaning marks) only really visible when blasting a light from the opposite end.     $6,000 USD, Or Best Offer. I see three potential options for this lens: 1. Great for anyone putting together a set of Lomo Super Speeds to have rehoused with GL Optics (I've seen their latest MKV rehousing for Lomo Super Speeds, and they feel really good/smooth). 2. You could potentially buy a PL mount housing for this lens, like this one on ebay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/114874718075 NOT MY AUCTION), and pay an experienced lens technician to fit it into the housing if you wanted to use it as a spherical lens without a full rehousing. 3. If you happen to own a 35mm Lomo Round Front Anamorphic, this could be a cool modification for your lens to make it a Super Speed T1.8 lens. This housing it's currently in is incredibly rare - a custom modification by Sergey Kravchenco (spelling?) in Russia. Of course this would require an experienced lens technician as well. The lens is currently at True Lens Services in the UK, and included in the photos is an independent lens report from them. I will probably have it shipped back to me in NYC in January. TLS also provided me with these pictures of the lens that I'm including here. If there's a buyer interested in option #3, could also offer to sell as an extra with this lens - a custom-made Orbital system by Arma Cine in the UK, for an additional $1,000 USD - that's a fair bit less than I paid. Includes a custom metal lens cap, a foot for lens support, a custom iris gear, and I can throw in both imperial and metric distance rings. I have these parts with me in NY, but I could ship them to either TLS or Arma Cine in the UK if you wanted to ask one of those companies about modifying/combining your 35mm Lomo Round Front with this rear Super Speed, and I'm sure either could attach this Orbital system at the same time. I haven't shot anything with this particular lens, except for a lens test when it was a complete 35mm Lomo Super Speed Anamorphic. I can share a Vimeo link to that footage if you're considering that third option.     Update: I just had this lens serviced (at a cost of US $450, receipt available) which included a cleaning, so the internal spots (which were possibly dried oil spots) are no longer there.     152mm Cooke Telepanchro T3.2 Lens For Sale Serviced in 2020 Marked in both Imperial and Metric Close Focus: 8' PL mount No case included This beautiful and very rare lens covers full frame sensors and complements the “Cooke Look” of Series II & III Speed Panchros very well. 152mm Cooke Telepanchro lenses in such clean condition are incredibly rare. Serviced by IndieOptics (a Panavision lens technician) in August 2020 (3 hours labor, receipt available), with no use since then, the glass is in excellent condition for the age, with minimal contamination and just a few (very small/light) marks on the elements. This is an excellent sample for rehousing with True Lens Services, which would also improve close focus (their current wait is approx 16-20 weeks). With that said, this lens is PL-mounted and geared for both focus and iris, and is usable as-is without rehousing. Focus and iris are both smooth, just not as *perfect* as a TLS-rehoused lens. The lens does *not* rotate as you pull focus (so you can use a clip-on matte box), and only telescopes forwards/backwards less than half an inch. It's about a 85mm front diameter with the lens hood, and about 66mm without. The lens has a beautiful 16-bladed iris for perfectly smooth round bokeh. Pictured both with and without the metal screw-on lens hood. Detailed IndieOptics report with images available. If you'd like to pay for an independent evaluation in NYC or Los Angeles (with shipping), I'm also open to that.     @victor huey I'm actually not sure how this compares with the Ekran 25-80mm. When I worked at Clairmont, we had these Optars for rent but not the Ekrans. Maybe Ilya Volkov will be able to answer that question... I'll see what I can find out.

    For Sale: JSC Optika 25-80mm Vario Optar T3.3 Zoom (PL mount) Asking $4,500 USD. This is a very compact and *very* lightweight cinema 35mm/APS-C format zoom lens (less than 2.25 lbs!) with a great 25-80mm range and a constant T3.3. The Du-All Camera website says that theirs is adaptable to EF mount, so it's possible this one is too (though I can make no guarantees). The serial number implies a production year of 1994, but I'd say the image it creates could fairly be described as a "vintage" look, including how it flares. Focus and iris are smooth. Zoom feels a little uneven at the wide end and has a little play at the telephoto end. There's some light oil on the iris blades visible, and there are coating scratches visible on both front and rear elements, and some spots visible in the picture on some internal elements (maybe oil? see pics) but I couldn't get any of those to affect the image. The lens has bright markings for feet and inches (Imperial). A word of caution that the front *does* rotate and telescope when pulling focus (so it's not exactly matte box friendly), but there's an adapter on the front of the lens to use any round Series 9 filters you might want. I think a lot of people might embrace the lens flares from a vintage lens like this, so the lack of a matte box (and that extra weight savings) might be preferred anyway. You could also talk with Ben at Arma Cine to see if he can make an Orbital system for this lens, which is what I've seen Old Fast Glass has done for a few of their vintage zooms that have rotating fronts. There are so few vintage cinema zooms (for example, to compliment a shoot using vintage primes) that are as compact and lightweight as this one, especially with such a great range. All of the un-edited sample images I took (with a Fujifilm X-H2S) were wide open and at close focus, except the last two (or where noted). I'm potentially open to a trade/partial trade for a Cooke Speed Panchro 18mm and/or 25mm (Series III only) in very good condition, either not rehoused or TLS-rehoused. I'm not interested in any other trades at this time. I always prefer an in-person NYC sale where the buyer can see or try out the lens on their camera. I also have friends in Los Angeles who can help facilitate an in-person sale, if you're LA-based. And if you're somewhere else, I'm also open to working with a broker like Lori Carson or Matt Livingston, or a lens technician/third party service company, if you cover the shipping and associated costs involved.     I'm asking $600 USD for both mags with the case. I just had these two mags checked/serviced by Andree Martin of AM Camera last month, so you know they're good to go. Invoice from AM Camera is included with the images of the mags. I also just had Innerspace install new foam, since the old foam had gotten sticky/melty. I bought these from one of the big Otto Nemenz auctions around mid-2012. Available for local pick up in Brooklyn, NYC (preferred in-person sale). I can also ship at buyer's cost. I won't sell just one mag, or just the case. Besides working on the Arri 35-3 (AKA the "Arri 3"), these are also compatible with the Arriflex 2C and 3C. You can even use these on the 235 and 435, but if you want to go faster than what they were designed for (120 fps), you'd want to use a 435-style mag on your 435, like if you want to go up to 150 fps.     Asking $6,000 USD.I bought this lens a few years ago and intended to rehouse it with GL Optics (they're up to Mk V now and the mechanics feel really solid to me), but plans have changed. I personally love the look Lomo Super Speeds create, although I haven't shot anything with this particular lens. Here's some great sample/test footage showing how beautiful the Lomo Super Speeds are (this footage was not shot with this specific/serial number 75mm) https://youtu.be/IZZzro92hgoLens glass is in very good/excellent condition.The housing is a bit odd, but that shouldn't matter if you're just getting it rehoused. As you can see in the pictures, it has hand-scratched/engraved markings on the front, but these do match the lens cell inside as confirmed by an evaluation at Indie Optics in January of 2022. It's currently marked in Meters (not Imperial/feet and inches) and both iris and focus barrels feel smooth enough. The iris is 12-bladed and so stays circular throughout the range - it does not create a ninja-star or sawblade shape at any stop, as I've seen with some Lomo Super Speeds, which is a good thing for my personal tastes. While the front telescopes a little bit when you pull focus, the front does not rotate from pulling focus. It focuses in "reverse" like Nikon lenses. And the front does rotate when you adjust the iris. There are no focus or iris gears. Again, I'd recommend rehousing to any potential buyer.I'd prefer an in-person NYC sale. I can also ship within the U.S. (2nd preference) or abroad (3rd preference) if you pay the PayPal fees and shipping with insurance.     This lens is in excellent optical condition: it's rare to find such a clean 25mm Series III lens with high serial number starting with a 7, making it among the last made, since you won't find any Panchro serial numbers starting with an 8. I'd say this is an excellent candidate for rehousing (ex. TLS). While it has a *tiny* amount of contamination (barely visible), that would be cleaned out during a rehousing. There's only the lightest/smallest cleaning marks (light scratches in the coatings) in the front/rear elements. No haze, no fungus, no yellowing, no oil on the iris blades, no scratches or cracks or pits that I can see. Mechanically, focus and iris are reasonably smooth, but I would always recommend rehousing. I shot a project on a set of freshly serviced (but unrehoused) CSP lenses years ago and they all exhibited some image shift when pulling focus - and I'd guess this lens would be the same. I ended up planning all my shots without focus pulls. This lens is Arri Standard Mount. TLS makes a very nice Arri Standard to PL adapter (Duclos Lenses sell it in the US). But as I said, I always recommend rehousing. In my experience, the PL mount adapters only make the focus movement less smooth, and they sometimes collide with internal baffles on cameras, like Alexas. This lens has been kept in a lens dry box (electronic humidity controlled) since I bought it in mid-2019, and I never got to actually use it besides a quick test. The previous owner clearly had it serviced with fresh yellow paint and focus gear added, but I don't know what year that was, and I noticed there's a bit of a gap where the gear screws together (it may just needs tightening). Front and rear lens caps included. I'd prefer an in-person NYC sale. I can also ship within the U.S. (2nd preference) or abroad (3rd preference) if you pay the PayPal fees and shipping with insurance.
