  1. Had a buyer in NYC fall through, so it's now with me in NYC. New price: $700.
  2. $900 Or Best Offer. Very rare item, in very good condition. These were only made circa 1982 for the Arri 3C, but are compatible with the 2C as well. 24 or 25 fps crystal switchable. Or, switch to variable mode (non-crystal) for other speeds. I was told the small 4-pin port is for connecting a speed controller for getting crystal sync at other speeds. Powers from 12V 4-pin XLR connector. Can run forwards or reverse - it has a switch for that. It needs a phenolic gear to connect to the drive gear at the bottom of the camera, but that's included with this motor. The motor has captive screws to attach to your 2C or 3C. No power cable included. This item is currently in Los Angeles with a friend. Thanks, Rich
  3. $750 Or Best Offer. If you own an Arri 3C and want to shoot anamorphic, this is something you'll want. You can shoot spherical, or flip a switch and the optics will desqueeze the anamorphic image so you don't have to frame up your image with everyone looking skinny. A very rare door, unique to the 3C, so certainly nice to have if you ever want to shoot anamorphic on this camera. Thanks, Rich
  4. $1,000 Or Best Offer. This item is currently located with a friend in North Hollywood, CA. I'm based in Brooklyn, NY. For sale is this very rare Arri 3C Crystal Pistolgrip Motor. It's in very good condition for it's age. These were only made circa 1982 for the Arri 3C, but are compatible with the 2C as well. 24 or 25 fps crystal switchable. Or, switch to variable mode (non-crystal) for other speeds. I was told the 4-pin port is for connecting a speed controller for getting crystal sync at other speeds. Runs forwards or reverse (via switch). Powers from 12V 4-pin XLR connector. No power cable included. The motor has captive screws for attaching to your 2C or 3C. Needed phenolic gear is also included. Photos: https://flic.kr/s/aHskUsmaU7 Thanks, Rich
  5. Thanks for your interest everyone, these mags have just sold.
  6. There's almost always SOMEONE selling a 2C... Arri's most successful camera ever, right?
  7. Hi Dan, please see/reply/ask any questions regarding those mags here, thanks! http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=73862
  8. $500, Or Best Offer. A set of two very rare 400' Fromm Shoulder Mags. For Arri 35mm 2C or 3C. Previously owned by Ron Dexter (see pics). I didn't buy them from Ron, but from an Operator in Los Angeles in 2009 as part of a 3C kit which has just sold. Tested/checked out by a technician when I bought them but have not been used. Comes with two spare drive belts and one shoulder bracket that attaches under the mag. NO CASE included. Will not sell one, only selling as a set of two. These are currently in Secaucus, NJ. May be able to meet a buyer with them in Brooklyn or Manhattan to exchange for cash if you don't want to go to Jersey.
  9. Thank you everyone for your interest, this camera package has just been SOLD! The buyer did not want to buy: 2x 400' Fromm Hand Held mags 1x Arri 3C Crystal Pistolgrip motor (also compatible with an Arri 2C) So those are still available for sale. The Fromm mags are in the NYC area and the Pistolgrip motor is currently in Los Angeles. I'll create separate listings for those items soon.
  10. Thank you for clarifying that, Rob. As I said in my first post, I bought this camera package in 2009. It was at the very end of 2009. I bought the package from Chris Squires, a well-established Camera Operator and DP in the industry. As you can see from the In-Sync Publications alert, Chris listed this stolen notice well before I bought the package, back in early 2008. It had been stolen, and recovered, undamaged. It seems Chris never had the listing taken down after it was recovered. I remember Chris telling me he had CE check out the motor to make sure it was ok after it was recovered. I've kept in touch with Chris over the years, and will ask him to get back to you, Rob, to confirm all of this, if you are serious about buying the package.
  11. This camera package is still available. I've had several near-sales. Two very interested parties currently but no commitment just yet. Two updates: 1) The camera package is now in Los Angeles with friends. The only thing left with me in NYC are the 2x 400' Fromm Hand Held mags. A potential buyer recently shot a registration test and reported excellent results, and a technician was paid to inspect the package and gave it a thumbs up. References available upon request. 2) The straight anamorphic door is no longer included in the package. It doesn't make sense for someone to shoot 2-perf with anamorphics, and I know someone who wants this door to shoot anamorphic with their 4-perf 3C. In addition, the Hand Held door is equally lightweight with equally bright optics, but more ergonomic for hand held (the optics are further forward, closer to the film plane and not so far back).
  12. Hey, thanks for your interest Peter. I have a sale pending. It should go through by the 20th/21st of this month. If it falls through, I'll definitely get in touch. Thanks!
  13. Lowering the price! $5,000 including both motors (for everything). Or, if anyone wants to buy just the CE Crystal Flatbase motor or just the Crystal Handgrip motor for $1,000, I will sell the remaining package for $4,000.
  14. Hey Rob, Thanks for the heads up about my inbox being full. Someone else just messaged me yesterday about the camera and it looks like that was the last that my inbox would hold. I've just deleted some old messages and sent you a PM. Thanks, Rich
  15. Not really looking for a zoom right now, but thanks. Anything else, want to just send me a private message?
  16. Hi Jan, Thanks for your interest. I will sell one of the motors but only after I sell the camera package, and only if the person buying the camera package doesn't want both motors. Best, Rich
  17. Hi Folks, I'm lowering my asking price: $6,000 for the package as described or... $5,000 if you don't care about getting two crystal sync motors. Included is your choice for one of the two crystal motors and everything else.
