  1. Thanks Phil, Yes, I know about the limitations. Matt
  2. Hi Dirk, Thanks for responding. I am new to 16mm filmmaking...i am not sure what i consider to be reasonable price. I'm an artist (ie. I have no budget, only what I can afford). I do have a couple of questions, if you don't mind.. I am wondering what is possible in making an optical soundtrack. Can I edit sound digitally (alongside a telecine) adding synch beeps at the start (I assume), then send a wav file to the lab to have it recorded to a negative and transferred to a print (after conforming a workprint of the film to the telecine)? Sorry for the wordiness...trying to be clear with much that I do not yet fully understand. Matt
  3. Hello, Does anyone know of a lab that will make an optical sound print for reasonable price? Any help is appreciated, Matt
  4. Thanks Dom! You are right, the C to FD adapter is not screwing in as far as it should. After looking more closely, it seems that it has a lip just below the threads on the "C-side" preventing it from reaching the end of the female threads on the C to bayonet... Much appreciated!
  5. Hello, I am wondering if anyone has experience using FD lenses on an SBM...with a bayonet to c-mount adapter then to a c-mount to FD adapter. When I put some of my lenses on in this way, I can't focus to infinity (ie. distant objects are all out of focus..even when stopped down.) Is this a problem caused by the use of two adapters? I was told to do it this way by a reliable source, Andrew Alden, so I assume that it can work...maybe the lenses need to be adjusted??? any help is appreciated, Matt
