  1. It's time to upgrade my wireless follow focus system. I'm interested in the Hocus Axis 1 or RT-Motion MK3.1 and am ready to buy/trade right away. Here is gear I have that could be traded: -KinoFlo 2x4 interview lighting kit w/ all tubes and stands -7-lens set of Duclos modded Zeiss ZF primes with Canon EF mounts (21,25,28,35,50,85,100) -MoVI m10 gimbal system
  2. Thanks Kenny. I'll swing by Mole and see if Larry has a few minutes.
  3. Maybe this isn't the best forum for this question, but I recently acquired a very old small carbon arc light, and am looking for replacement carbon arcs for it so I can try it out. Anyone know a good place to source these? Thanks Ben
  4. David, Where would you source those metal blinds, at any lighting rental house, or are they a rare specialty? Do they fit in the barndoors/scrims slots, or how do they attach to the head? I've got a rather large exterior night scene coming up that calls for lightning flashes, and the Lightning Strikes fixtures can get rather pricey. I would like to avoid pricey and cheesey. Maybe the shuttered HMI is the ticket? Ben
  5. I'm just fishing for any basic tricks you have to light and expose for a subject close to a window, while keeping the EXT mostly properly exposed. I've tried a couple of times, and have never been perfectly satisfied. Assuming a brighly lit day at 3pm in Los Angeles, what would be your go-to quick protocol for getting in the ballpark? ND the windows? How strong (and what kind) of a key light? Any special considerations? Thanks to all for sharing your experiences. Ben
