I'm interested in learning more about splitting layers, but I am concerned that, from what I've heard about it, it might be too time consuming for Gibby. We're also toying with the idea of making a 3d puppet for character animator.

Thank you Landon! I think the next step will be playing more with lighting, although it might not work well with a 2d subject.

Hello everyone, I've been experimenting with the virtual cameras in after effects on a web series that I've created using character animator. Each episode uses different lenses, distances between the background, subject, and camera, angles, and I've even played with zooms and tracking shots. I'd love to hear if you have any suggestions on other ways I can play with virtual cameras and lighting to create some different looks.
