  1. I have one of my tripods up on ebay for sale a Miller DS-10 Tripod System with DS-10 Fluid Head & Dolly & Rubber Feet. Photos on ebay. I switched it to auction with start price of $592 and buy now @ $950 but will sell it for $750 if via this forum.
  2. And you are getting younger? I am like a fine wine, only getting better, but I don’t need my old empty bottle’s anymore! Hahahaha. Actually you nailed the reason I am getting ready to sell off everything I have, it may take a year but I will do it.
  3. Arri did not have a special tool for this, the entire piece is changed in an overhaul. I cringed reading this, but I am happy it worked out.
  4. Do you have any photos of the part numbers on the bearings you need? I have a very large quantity of new old stock Arriflex bearings of all different sizes.
  5. I love it when folks say the BL can be used on the shoulder, yes when you are young, but I swear it has gained so much weight I cant barely put it on the tripod now. If I was to have to pick a single film camera I would get a BL4, I sold mine and have a single BL left but I prefer the BL4. I have 35IIC and 35-3 and I must say the 35-3 is nicer, but even so if I had to be limited to 2 cameras I would go with a 35-IIC and a BL4. Avoid the 35-IIA unless you want it for historic reasons. I have to say Dom has done a fantastic essay on the care and cleaning of the 35-II that everyone that wants one or owns one should review.
  6. Good work Arthur I love to see pushing the edges and in film!! Film Uber Alles!
  7. I have complete wiring diagram in German and rather difficult for someone that is not engineer to extract what you want from it. I can photo it for you but it is large like 48 X 24 inches. If you just want a cord for bl I am certain I can find one in my garage somewhere,
  8. I have, Konvas, Arriflex 35IIB's , Devry and a Eyemos. If I knew what kind of projects It would help. I have sold some cameras to people who want a real hard corp 1900's feel that the Devry provides and I sold Eyemos to reenactors that wanted authentic combat feel.
  9. You can get both from Arriflex New York parts department. You can also get the equivalent oil online and the grease equivalent at auto parts store but the amount of grease needed is miniscule.
  10. The konvas only looks like the Arri std it is not the same, the barrel is much larger diameter. You can get Kilfit adaptor to use m39 leica lenses on Arri std and bayonet. So it could also use any 39mm threaded lens as long as you deal with the 52mm flange distance for back focus. If you need lenses let me know what you need I have been cleaning out extras
  11. The S is loud as hell but there are blimps out there from Arriflex and Cine 60, probably others. There is an Arri blimp for an S for sale right now on ebay but I bet its heavy as all get out. I have a blimp for a 35II and its similar in appearance and was a lot.. To make it super sixteen you would have to make it hard front and even then I do not think the geometry works out.
  12. Arriflex 35BL-4 for sale I posted on ebay for $7,9995.00. My wife is going to retire and we are moving back to Europe and I need to sell all my bulky heavy stuff and that includes many cameras and accessories. The Ebay add describes it well and I will answer any questions you want. I will negotiate and as stated I do consider partial trades. I tried to post pictures but they are all to big, I will send extra pictures other than on ebay if you really have interest.
  13. As for the motor I would give you some credit for either a variable speed if I had a spare at the time, or a fixed speed 24fps that I know I have all dependent on how toaste the motor is.
  14. I have 400ft mags that need a torque motor, you only need one torque motor. I have both torque motors and magazines available.
  15. I refurbish Arriflex 16 s for a hobby, I have the parts you asked for, cover plate, and many others. I can tell you the system runs at 8 volts. You might be able to trade the motor for credit on a working one if you do not try to fix yourself.
  16. For the hand motor or the flatbase I do have both.
  17. I take it you no longer need the part
  18. You need the stud that the matte box mounts on? I will sell it to you as far as shield I do not know what you refer to. I have a broad variety of 35II parts gears, bearings, everything really.
  19. Angenieux 12-120, preferably bolex specific, is a great lens for this and of course the Kern Switar Zooms. You need the roller as you already mentioned. That power supply is an easy re-cell you do not have to match the battery size just the voltage amperage. But really get that camera to a tech to clean and lube and adjust. You would be amazed at the little fragments of film and emulsion, dirt, grit etc that make it into the magazine. The worst I find is after 20 years grease has had much of it that has evaporated and what is left is a sticky light brown to red tar substance very dry and a major impediment to movement of the mechanism. I only work on Arris but I am shocked some of the stuff people sell on ebay and its bone dry and like a film garbage can inside.
  20. The SR manual http://www4.uwm.edu/psoa_er/manuals/cameras/Arri-SR.pdf. I would see how much amperage your batteries putting out it could be 12 volts but very weak. Then check voltage at where it enters motor with your voltmeter see if it is making it there, if yes try powering the motor using jumpers to see if it will work independent of the system. If gets power with adequate amperage and voltage then see if it is mechanically free to spin.
  21. I have a lot of new and used parts for 16S 16M 16BL 35II A,B,C, I use them to refurbish cameras but if someone really needs a part and it is the difference between having a boat anchor versus a working camera send me a message and I will try to help. I also have some Bolex, Beaulieu, Filmo donor cameras for hobbyist needing parts.
  22. First as to availability of film: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/print/770300 and others report Kodak has finalized deals with the major Hollywood studios that will allow film to remain alive, at least for the near future. This marks the completion of the deal that Kodak said was near-final last summer, when negotiations began. Disney, Fox, Paramount, Sony, NBC Universal and Warner Bros. have all reached agreements with Kodak to purchase undisclosed amounts of film over "a few" years that would be enough to extend Kodak's film manufacturing business. The value of the deals were not disclosed. As to cameras: Just look at other items in the world from watches to clocks to guitars. Digital watches did not drive the deaths nail through mechanical, vintage or antique watches. The advent of single lens reflex cameras did not doom range finder cameras( See Leica prices). Most importantly electric guitars did not doom acoustic guitars, why? it doesn't produce the same sound only a close sound but just not ever the same organic feel. Beyond that there is always myriad children of the sixties and seventies that always wanted to play Kubrick and have the disposable income to buy something shiny and well engineered merely to own it now. Prices may be stagnant now but as cameras disappear in the future the prices will go up.
