  1. You can take a look at LUT options, for example, Filmconvert Pro and ImpuZ LUT pack both have LUTs specifically designed for SLOG2/3, you can pick any look you want and tweak to your taste.
  2. If you don't wanna go the humour route, there's also emotional resonance you can use to bring your work to a higher level. For example, this piece of safe driving video is incredibly elegant and visually/emotionally mesmerising:
  3. You could do something like this, it's EPIC!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtyfiPIHsIg
  4. Work closely and pay special attention to the sound department, I know this is cinematography forum but it's vital for a cinematographer to know the workflow of sound recording, so you get the best picture and best sound at the same time.
  5. Good work, I noticed that the music sounds very peaceful, however most of the editing and camera movement did not express this kind of peacefulness, also for a nature film it's advisable to maintain a deep focus 70-80% of the time, so people get to appreciate all the details.
  6. Good work, from a cinematographer's perspective, the image looks a bit "videoy", some highlights were blown out in an unpleasant way. Also there's inconsistency with colour intensity (the guys red hoodie for example), skintone is also all over the place.
  7. As I said in previous posts, Schneider filters are not laminated, the filter core is melted inside the glass so the entire filter becomes one solid piece. The black epoxy resin you see is called edge seal, it further prevents stray light from entering the filter through the edges and causing flare.
  8. None of the NDs from Tiffen and Schneider are neutral, see test here: http://www.dvinfo.net/article/optical-science/one-set-of-nd-filters-to-rule-them-all.html Currently the only truely neutral NDs are made by a Japanese company Mitomo. Also, Formatt Hitech just released a new line of ND called Firecrest and claims that it's truely neutral as well, but there's no comparison to confirm this yet.
  9. Schneider filters have elements melted between glass sheets while Tiffen just "glue" them. Also Schneider have better coatings to prevent glare, Tiffen uses few or no coating.
