  1. Hey everyone, I recently purchased a mole baby 751 from ebay. I cant seem to find any information regarding the light however online. I called mole on the phone and they said its the same light as the 407. My problem is that there does not seem to be any way to keep the fresnel lens locked in place. Theres a small clip that goes towards the lens, but it does not keep the lens secure in place in the slightest. Is there a piece that is potentially missing to keep it, or am I missing something?

I acted as cinematographer and color grader and shot 200T/500T on an Arri SR1 with cooke 10.8-60 as well as bolex with cosmicar lenses, I'd love to hear whatever you guys think. Thanks!
  3. I recently got in my possesion an old NPR. Unfortunately the camera, while able to run, does not have a magazine lock attached so i am unable to test the camera with film going through it. Where should i go to get the part, and how much would it cost?

When i was trying to figure out the look of the piece, I had wanted a very low contrast look to go along with the melancholy song. i decided 500 T would work to well to compensate for the viewfinder of the bolex as well as to still have enough exposure to pull. I guess I didn't realize just how clean the pull process would make it. Yeah, I'm not all that happy with the exteriors either. I can tell they're flat, but would you be able to pin point the reason they are? Is it a mix of color palette, lighting as well as the composition? Any help would be greatly appreciated.   5. I shot a music video for my Cinematography class this semester. I shot ultra 16 500 T, pulled back a stop. I'd love some critiques (be as harsh as you need) so later attempts could be more successful. Thanks!
  6. I purchased a non reflex Bolex H-16 DeLuxe from ebay with a octameter as well as a critical focus viewfinders. I've shot a couple of small projects with the Bolex Reflex series, but I was wondering what things i should keep in mind for the non reflex variant. Also, It doesn't come with lenses, I was planning on picking those up further down the line. Just to play around with, would I get satisfactory results by using ef or Fd adapters to c mount?
  7. Hey, Im a student cinematographer in upstate new york, and unfortunately the department at my school does not have C stands. There are no rental shops near by. We will not be rigging anything heavy, purely just silks and other pieces of fabric to use as diffusion. Short of buying my own C stand, what can I do to rig the diffusion to where I need it?
