  1. Hello John, Thanks. Could you please provide an exemple on how you use a gray card on a daily basis ? I shoot the gray card while making sure my waveform displayes it at 25-35% IRE...I got that. Then what ? And what if my shot has no actors ? Thank you PS My O7Q+ and Cineroid retina EVF have false color. How do those features come into play ?
  2. Hello Gregory, The AC is a young graduated who works with me a lot to gain some experience. I myself used to freelance in L.A (where you based) as a DIT before moving back to France in 2008 (mostly because of the crisis and the screen writer strike). Here, in Evian they are not that many people (if not none) that has a film background...so i tend to stick with that kid and see how I can help him to become better <_<
  3. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. Many are talking about grey card. Why do I need one ? All I worry about is my skin tone level and highlights. Thank you
  4. Hello David, My O7Q+ records the 10 bits uncompressed signal and shows the Slog output with no LUT applied. It also displays the waveform.
  5. Nikon D800 would be the way to go as it provides a clean HDMi out and fully uncompressed in 10 bits if hooked up to an external recorder. On top of that, Timelapse is built in so no need to buy an extra piece of equipement.
  6. Hello, I shoot with the F3 using the O7Q+ recorder in Slog. How would you set your exposure when shooting Slog ? I mean, where do you set your skin tone, and highlights using the built in waveform ? Thank you for any advices.
  7. Hello everyone, We are a very small production company that shoot mostly corporate videos. We use the F3 along the new cinealta PL series of Prime lenses. What advice would you give to a focus puller ? He uses a Redrock system wireless focus and the peaking function of the O7Q+ as a monitor. Thanks
