  1. That is most excellent!

Thank you Marek, for all your hard work, and you finally did it !

I would love to test out the new motor. Just received my newly coated mirror and prisms, installed the shutter and looks much brighter already. Very excited to run some film through it.

Can’t wait to see your results as well.

    Cheers!

  2. I have the wide digiprimes and digizoom, with both the abakus and IBE HDx35.

They are master prime build quality and extremely sharp. Only bummer is the light loss, so if you have a camera with a high base ISO you will be fine. If you don't mind deep DOF, this is the way to go. Abakus works really well for s16mm film, and is the loop hole for cheap version of Zeiss Ultra 16 primes. Ends up being T2.4 vs T1.3 on the ultras but that's the price to pay, for such a good deal.

The HDx35 vignettes a bit more wide open since its expanding the image circle nearly 2.7x, so its best to stop down and shoot with tons of light (or if you have high ISO capabilities). These are big lenses, true cinema build quality that don't breath and have the best feature of them all, back focus adjustment.

Stay patient and grab a few on ebay to test!

  3. My first test with a 3 perf cameflex was perfect except for the gate flare present in the negative.
Just want to confirm this is the case... however the triangle flare isn't vertically/horizontally flipped as the rest of the image. Looks like it's flaring/bleeding into the next frame.

As far as solutions...paint the mask? Both sides? Which paint do you recommend?

Attached below are the stills, and of the gate, with and without the shutter.

    Many thanks!

  4. Selling my trusted Zeiss T* 10-100mm T2 ( F1.8) Mark II ! A beautiful piece of mechanics in a lightweight package at just under ~4lbs.

In Arri B mount. This is a normal 16mm lens, but will cover s16 at 25mm and above while focused on infinity.

Has the classic zeiss superspeed look, modern yet still warm and pleasing.

A very sharp copy, even wide open.

Truly a much more affordable lens than it's s16 brother at nearly quadruple the cost.

Perhaps my favorite feature of this lens is the incredible macro mode. It literally focuses up to the front element! Never seen anything like it.

Lens is in excellent condition, Glass is clear, no scratches or fungus. Barrel has signs of use. Comes with front and back cap. I have an Arri B to PL adapter if you're interested as well.

$999 + paypal fees and shipping!
