Nice ASCII art!

This is a fascinating thread. Anyone have any updates, particularly on the USB microscope cameras. I am interested in capturing some Super 8 or Regular 8 mm home movies from the 60s and 70s. The quick and dirty method is to just take a video of the film as it is projected on a screen. This capture method must give better results but can anyone comment on how much better the final product is?
