So in that case the native ISO of the sensor is ISO160? (-9/+5) and the image is robust enough to take a 3 stop boost in gain without additional banding and much noise. I guess the difference with other sensors is that at native ISO they don't already have 5 stops over latitude over middle grey.

What happens when you shoot ISO160 under expose to not clip your highlights and then bring it back up to 800ISO in post? Does the give you the same results as shooting at 800 in camera or are the results worse?
