  1. Hi guys! After the pretty decent success of the CineRangeFinder, I am working on another cool new product that I hope a lot of people will like. I had the need to do a shot from the outside of a car a few months ago and looked at all the options for car mounting. Looking at all the options, the price was just too much for this near zero budget shoot. So I decided to take everything I learnt from making CineRangeFinder and apply it to making a car mount. The idea was to make something anyone could afford but also simplify the concept and make it easy to use and ship. Because the plan is to make it for smaller cameras such as DSLRs and small cinema cameras like RED Raven, Pocket 4k, Kinifinity etc Also wanted the ability to have anti-shock/vibration mounts so that people could also use gimbals. After a few months of concepts, CAD designs and prototypes we have the near finished product. It has not been anodised, the full product will be anodised black. We even have a custom foam lined case. You can see some test footage here. The mount currently supports the following gimbals: DJI Ronin Universal Plate DJI Ronin-S Universal Mount DJI Ronin Small Rig "Quick Release Tripod Adapter" Tilta Gravity G Series Gimbal Body Mounting Plate More to come, please make suggestions bellow. The car mount comes in 5 options. Base package (1 mounting plate, 6 magnet mounts, NO CASE but free shipping) - £150 Base package (1 mounting plate, 6 magnet mounts, with case) - £150 + p&p Base package with suction cups (1 mounting plate, 6 magnet mounts, with case and 4 suction cups) - £270 + p&p Anti-Vibration package (2 plates, 6 magnet mounts, 4 anti-vibration cables, with case) - £250 + p&p Anti-Vibration package with suction cups (2 plates, 6 magnet mounts, 4 anti-vibration cables, with case, 4 suction cups) £350 + p&p We include a pot of fixing bolts and tools. We do not include straps. Currently we are in pre-order stage and hope to ship from 15th December. You can order from http://bit.ly/2MQ7S6L We ship world wide via couriers and accept PayPal, Credit/Debit cards & Google Pay/Apple Pay via Stripe and can take Bitcoin soon. 2. Hi all Can someone tell me which LEMO plug will fit into the Aaton A-minima accessory port please? I have the pinout already. anonymous image upload Jack
  3. Hi Brenton. We will be selling them after the crowdfund period for sure. Though they will be about £50 more than what is currently listed. Can order via IndieGoGo or direct from us.
  4. Hey everyone! We are at the last 24 hours of the IndieGoGo campaign and have surpassed our funding goal. There is now 3 products in total. The original CineRangeFinder, CineRangeFinder Pro and Remote. The CineRangeFinder pro is the same thing as the standard, but has a separate sensor and control unit like the CineTape. The Remote is a wireless control and display that allows you to change settings and view the readout without having to be next to the camera. We have been hard at work for the past few months designing and developing the hardware. The circuit boards are nearly 100% and the software is in its last phase of development. And we are just finishing the remote design and have started manufacturing it out of aluminium. If you would like to get your own CineRangeFinder, then check out of crowdfund over here, https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cinerangefinder-cinematography-ac-accessory-film/reft/16149116#/cinematography2 There is only 24 hours left so be quick! Thanks everyone. Jack,
  5. Doesn't 4K require the new Intel Kaby Lake CPUs to work? That is with authoring too? Might be totally wrong here, not really done authoring before.
  6. Looks cool and good price for it. Though like someone told me here a few months ago. That is a jib not a crane :p
  7. Not updated here in a while. Wops  We are now over 50% funded and hopefully will be at 100% soon. Been featured on NewsShooter and 4KShooters http://www.newsshooter.com/2017/03/29/cinerangefinder-sonar-powered-budget-rangefinder-indiegogo/ http://www.4kshooters.net/2017/03/20/cinerangefinder-is-a-budget-cinematography-sonar-range-finder-for-focus/ In terms of the product, we have been busy improving the displays and other features. We have managed to source these amazing displays that are really clear and quite bright. Have also been working really hard on the circuit boards inside. It is proving difficult to get all the hardware into a small space but I think we have cracked it. (Photo is 3D printed prototype) We are also bring forward the remote development as many have requested it. So later this week we will be releasing it on our IndieGoGo for everyone to order along with their CineRangeFinder. This is also part of another tool that we hope to release soon after the remote accessory.
  8. Hey Satsuki! I have had a few people ask for a laser to do that. There is space to put one in, though it is tight, so ill go research my options for that.
  9. Hi everyone! What a week it has been. We are already at 20% funded. So a massive thank you to those backers as well as those who are sharing this project on social media and forums. Please keep this up! We are still hard at work with developing the CineRangeFinder! Waiting on a load of new parts to come Monday that will really help us develop the product to a higher spec and to a higher quality. Need at least 25 backers though! So get sharing. More updates to come. We post more often on FaceBook here with minor stuff; https://www.facebook.com/ogarastudios/
  10. Awesome thank you! We are still working on the terms writing, but it will come with 6-12 month warranty for sure. It will be return and replace/fix.
  11. We are now live on IndieGoGo! Please share around with your friends. The more orders the better the product is. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cinerangefinder-cinematography-ac-accessory-film/reft/16149116#/cinematography.com

  13. The generator was pretty much out of fuel and started to drop bellow the volts required by the ballast. So the ballast kept turning on and off. As in it hot striked the lamp a couple times.
  14. Some bulbs don't like it. I had a Philips bulb blow once because we had the generator low on fuel. OSRAM has been fine though. They do specify if they can be on the packaging box for the bulb.
  15. Crowd fund will start very soon. Like next week! If you want to be on the early bird to get yours asap, send me a message.
  16. Big day! Prototype boards have arrived. So much better than my home made ones xD Video coming soon, as well as crowd fund! Stay tuned for more Follow on FaceBook to keep up to date on development and stuff... https://www.facebook.com/ogarastudios/
  17. Cube is a lot better than Clip. The problems comes with the encoding. It is not very sharp. It softens the image quite a bit. It is not like the Bolt where you are getting near raw signal that is crispy is what I am trying to say. That being said, it is doable.
  18. Yes. It locks it forward and no matter where the handles are in rotation it will keep facing that way.
  19. Yes you can do this. In the app just set Smooth Track off for the pan.
  20. Just to give an update.. Software is done. We have put in everything on the list that we wanted for the prototype and for day 1 release. This means you can move the datum line back and forward, switch between inches and centre meters, 4 stops of display brightness, change the wifi channel (not implemented wifi yet though) and reset the device to factory settings. Final 3D printed prototype is done. Though we are having a slight problem with one of the menu buttons which I am working on today. This is more to do with the 2D prints not being dead on perfect, of course this will be resolved for final product. I plan on launching a crowd fund very soon. Working out what site will be better for this. Will be in the studio, hopefully some time this week to get photos and video for said campaign and for any interested media outlets. I actually had the tool out with me last night when I was Steadicam operating and the AC loved it. So I know it works :p Still looking for a few more industry people to send it out to. Though I am low on funds now because of final year filming projects at uni :/ Will be fine though... Ask away any questions you might have. Ill leave a little teaser bellow....
  21. We were planning on doing aluminium case but it would bring the cost up and would mean we would need an external antenna on the case. Now we are working on milling a plastic case that is just as good.
  22. We are actually really close now. Just finishing off the final prototype to show off hopefully this weekend. Will be taking it on set with me tomorrow and trying to get someone to take photos of it in use. More info and the latest previews here: https://www.facebook.com/ogarastudios/
  23. IDK American gauge so I wont answer your first question and I am not a "electrician" per se, I just own a few generators and do it on low budget features a bit :p But I run 6mm (that is given name to the total core size or something here) for 25A generator and have 100m of it that works fine. Though we are 240v here, and I am okay with -10v drop on the line at 5Kw. Most of the HMIs and stuff all work off 210-250v so loads to play with, but got to watch on the generator side with how many Watts one is pulling because cable lose. As for testing voltage, load it up, then test. It is the only way other than doing it on a calculator, but actually testing it with load is best.
  24. poop journalists wrote that.3d printers don't give of carbon monoxide. Like you said. They had several dangerous things in their house that are probable cause. The 3d printers was not one of them. They used "3d printer" just for the clicks. No wonder why people call"news" game nowerdays...
